F45 Midtown Nashville is by far the best gym/fitness program Iâve ever been a part of. No matter your level of fitness you will feel comfortable and at home here from day one. I was an athlete in college but never enjoyed working out on my own after graduating; I missed going to practice every morning and having workouts planned for me. I also missed the camaraderie of working out with my team. Within a few short years I put on a lot of unhealthy weight and felt all around miserable. F45 was exactly what I needed to get back in the game. The coaches will help you scale any workout to your current fitness level, whether you need a regression to make it easier or a progression to make it more difficult. Whether youâve never stepped foot in a gym or youâre a seasoned athlete, these workouts will give you the challenge youâre looking for. While all F45 workouts are HIIT/circuit style training, alternating days place a greater emphasis on either cardio training or resistance training. The structure of the program allows you to work out up to seven days a week since you can use lighter weights on cardio days to allow ample muscle recovery. Nearly all sets are based on the clock (as many reps as possible within the âworkâ period followed by a rest period) so you donât have to worry about counting or keeping track of reps/sets. The entire workout is displayed on large TV screens so you never have to worry about getting lost or remembering what youâre supposed to be doing (though coaches are always nearby if you need help). The music playlists are awesome; no matter what your taste, thereâll be something in the mix for you to make the workout enjoyable. Thereâs even a live DJ in the studio on most Saturdays: itâs a full blown party! Another great thing about F45 is the heart rate monitor system. You earn points based on your heart rate throughout the workout, which is constantly displayed on TV screens. This means while you donât have to keep track of weights used or reps, you can set easily measurable goals to reach during each workout. The reliance on heart rate is a plus because the better shape youâre in, the harder youâll have to work to keep your heart rate up! As you keep up with your workouts, youâll see your heart health increasing right on screen (workouts are also automatically logged in an app on your phone so you can track your progress over time). Unlike some other HIIT programs though, F45 is very balanced between cardio and resistance training; you will actually be lifting heavy enough weights to build strength and muscle mass fairly quickly. The facilities and staff at F45 Midtown Nashville are world class. All of the equipment is clean and in excellent shape (now sanitized between every class due to COVID). The locker rooms are also very clean and spacious. Nino, Libby, and all the coaches on staff will make you feel like family right away; you wonât feel like a number or a customer, but will know youâre genuinely valued and cared for. The scheduling system and phone apps are super user friendly, and even integrate with Outlook and other calendar apps so youâll never forget a workout. All things considered, F45 Midtown Nashville is an incredible value. For what youâd spend on a few nights out per month, you get a complete training regimen - no planning or stressing about anything; just book your classes and show up! You can even get detailed body scans to track your progress and guidance for meal planning. You essentially get the same benefits as hiring a personal trainer for a tiny fraction of the cost: paying per month what youâd pay for only two or three personal training sessions. The owner Nino is very present and welcoming to all members, gets to know members personally, and isn't just an owner- he also coaches and works out with us. Iâve actually had every coach working out beside members in some class when they aren't coaching. To me, this not only says that the workouts are actually good enough for fitness instructors but also these coaches actually like where they work! Each of them get to know us personally and treat us like friends. They genuinely get excited to see you and each have their own style of how to push you. F45 is TOUGH but the workouts are fantastic, and the coaches here are so motivating and encouraging. They will guide you through workouts, through managing healthy eating habits, help you lift heavier, give you modifications or challenges⌠you do not go unseen and you and your goals are a priority here. The coaches also put together member socials (eg, drinks at a bar, volleyball, group runs, an outing at Pins). The workouts themselves are hard but keep your interest because they change every day. You can do them at your own pace, and f45 Midtown welcomes members of all ages and athletic ability. No one judges if you need to modify anything or just do a different exercise.    Read moreI travel frequently for work and I'm always trying to find gyms that support my goals. A friend local to the area recommended I join her at F45 Midtown and I'm glad I did. I have been to gyms all over the country, so I know how intimidating it can be to be new to a place and walk in unsure - this was definitely NOT the vibe here. They don't treat visitors any different than they treat the regulars - that was awesome. The owner and staff were incredibly welcoming. They spent time on the floor during the entire workout encouraging those in the class and keeping an eye out to make sure people were moving with good form.
