Went in to check out some of the bags there the experience was Ok until when my boyfriend tried to grab a balenciaga bag from the top row to possibly purchase. The bag had a wire on it of course I would presume to prevent people from stealing but we were able to still look at the bag until one of the male African American employees with piercings all over his face came up to us being hostile like yelling at us as if we were thieves or a couple of 12 year olds. He rudely told us that we can’t grab things off of the top of the shelf and that we’d have to ask first which is fine but don’t talk to customers rudely like that especially to another grown man. We then proceeded to tell him that we would’ve had no problem asking first but we weren’t greeted, no one bothered offering us any help, and there are no clear indications that you need to ask for “permission” to look at anything especially when you can freely grab everything else like the tops and shoes with NO permission don’t pick and choose mind you these are all SECOND HAND items not even actual storefronts such as BALENCIAGA prohibit picking up items to look at before possibly purchasing. The employee proceeded to tell us that he isn’t required to greet us so we just left. He lost out on a possible sale/commission by not being polite. Retail stores need to bring back uniforms to stay humble and this employee in particular needs to be brought back down to earth, customers should absolutely be greeted when they...

A terrible experience from top to bottom! I read the other one star reviews (you should, too), and chose to give this place a chance anyway. What a mistake!!! If you are a seller, run as fast as you can away from this place. I tried not to waste anyone’s time by calling ahead to get insight about how they value and price clothes they buy from sellers. I asked specifically how they think about two year old clothes that have never been worn and have original price tags still attached. The woman I spoke with told me they offer “30-50% of retail” for these items based on their belief about saleability. That seemed fair to me, so I gave it a shot. I took $1700 worth of unworn clothes with price tags still attached, as well as 18 additional pieces that were gently used, and their total offer to me was a whopping $86!! What a joke! 30% of the retail price of the unworn, tagged items alone would have been $510. A classic case of saying one thing and doing another. When I challenged the offer, the person at the store said, “It all depends on who values your clothes when you bring them in. Some offer more than others.” An unprofessional approach at the least and probably more likely an intentional ploy to get you in the door....

When I went to this store, I went with my ex-boyfriend since his roommates work here. It's like a thrift shop with expensive brands to very comfortable prices. You can buy and sell things here. They will authenticate whatever you bring to them that you want to sell and you'll get your money for it that same day. There was a line when I went with him because they only allow a certain amount of people in the store. I recommend going as early as possible and waiting outside. I got a discount from Vivi's coworker. Viví is my ex's roommate, she's a sweetheart ❤️, so if you ever feel like going and don't know what to pick, just ask her or her coworkers to give you a hand. Would definitely go back here with my besties to catch some drip. I did buy a North Face neon green hoodie, a supreme bucket hat, a beanie, and a leather purse. My ex used to love (pretty sure he still does) Stone Island, so he got himself a green hoodie from them, some cargos and I think he got something else but I forgot lol. But yeah, I only paid about 150 for everything. So totally recommend you to...

YOO. I dropped some vintage bags and accessories off at this store to get authenticated and priced, and EXPLICITLY asked that the two pristine bags be stored in their dustbags. I received them back all tossed in the same bag. The Gucci handbag I left came back with noticeable scratches (probably from the zippers and hardware of the other pieces it was tossed in the same bag with). I was also really upset that the beautiful Vintage Louis Vuitton Epi Speedy 25 I left with them came back with wear along the edges and scratches all over the front and back. I’ve had decent experiences selling to this store in the past, but this was a near $1000 botch (I have the quotes if you think i’m exaggerating). Sell your busted stuff here all day, but anything of value is not safe.

don’t waste your time trying to sell anything here. they say they’ll call, but they don’t and after you wait for hours and return, your stuff is all over the place and they offer ridiculous prices on them. i brought brand new doctor martens boots and they wanted to buy them for 5 dollars. they offered 20 cents on a top. honestly, I felt insulted. just donated everything to a shelter nearby and it was totally worth it.

2nd Street is my favorite thrift store-franchise in NY! I loved the SoHo collection and there were a lot of men’s items. I was not a huge fan of some of the women’s selection but I know I am probably perceiving it from my type of style. The have a lot of edgy outfits and there are a lot of unique styles. The high-end items are priced fairly.
