Cliff Young Ltd. — Local services in New York

I would give this place negative stars if I could. They quoted me a fair price for a Roxy Swivel Milo Baughman by Thayer Coggin arm chair. After my designer and I spent time figuring out if the manufacturer can use our fabric and where ready to pay they sent me an invoice that was more than $1,600 over the quote! That was an almost 50% upcharge!!! After I called them on it, they explained that my choice of wood for the chair base required a 20% upcharge - something they never mentioned before, is not on their website or tear sheets, and is not true of other retailers of the same armchair by the same manufacturer - in fact the retailer I went with had the same price for all wood bases that was LOWER than even this place's quote! Also 20% is a lot less than the 50% that they tried to get. These are dishonest and incompetent people who do not deserve any business. Use them to sit in the furniture you want to try out but buy it...
