Oh yes! Oh yes! What a spice symphony indeed! What a lovely little place for my taste buds to find respite amongst this wasteland of gray weather and flavors. How sad it is to walk down the streets of New York and not find a single thing worth shoving down my throat. Why, to find a place such as this was quite the tickle. What did I order you ask? I shall not tell! No! No! No! It is a secret, a secret that all must unravel themselves. You too must venture here and place your mouth into the warm and spicy hands of fate. Let them sprinkle your tongue with the most divine of flavors, let them smother your plate in magnificent decadence of the highest caliber. You are sure to find delicious yummy time here. Don't believe me? Fine, come and find me! I live in the subway tunnels where I serenade the rats and make them do my bidding! Quite a life it is! Quite a life indeed! Scurry yourself down here beneath the Earth and locate me so that I may kiss you on the lips and you can experience the flavors of the new world. You will taste every last ounce of flavor that was placed into their many secret dishes. I haven't brushed my teeth since I finished my meal at Spice Symphony. That is how lovely the food there is. Enough to make a grown man cry. Crying I am! Crying so hard! Come find me in the subways! Kiss my lips! Taste the flavor! Cry with me! We shall cry together for all eternity as siblings of this beautiful place! Come to me! Come and find me and my delicious lips that have tasted a meal of the...
Read moreAmazing food, amazing experience. Only thing I’m sad about is I wasn’t able to get pics to post of all the food we ordered! My husband and I are die hard foodies so let me start by saying how hard it is to impress the both of us at the same time! Lol we were in the city and we (as in I 😆) had a craving for Indian Chinese. I’ve been coming down to Lexington Ave for Indian food ever since I was a kid with my family. I’ve seen it evolve over the years and many places come and go unfortunately. We told our Uber driver to take us to tangra and found it to be closed permanently. We hadn’t loved the food there previously but weren’t faced with many choices previously for Indian Chinese. We were hungry, it was late and we felt super dismayed. We just happened to stumble upon spice symphony while walking trying to find some place to eat; they serve both Indian and Indian Chinese food! It’s an amazing intimate setting. The owner was incredibly gracious and the service was impeccable. The owner came to our table multiple times to ask how everything is and if he could get us anything else. You can tell he genuinely cares about people enjoying the food and having a great time at this establishment. The food was delicious and we can’t wait to come back. The gobi manchurian is to die for! The chef started us with complimentary cutlets and we ended with dessert compliments of the owner! My husband insisted on taking dessert to go as well. 😩😂 Thank you so much for a...
Read moreBeing an international student from India, this is home away from home. There's no better feeling than to have a New Yorker's version of a Peshawari (Read: Exquisite). I would definitely liken the flavours to be nostalgic of a decadent, flavourful meal I would enjoy on a day i deserve a treat, hopefully every day.
Happened to get drawn in by the aromas wafting from here, while on my way from Union Square. My own personal favourites, and recommendations, apart from the delicious Indo-Chinese - which is a must try in itself, are the Lamb Rogan Josh and the Shrimp Patia. Take it from a local, the flavours are fun, intense, mildly-spiced, and wholesome on the palate. The tanginess perfectly cuts the richness of the meat and goes brilliantly with the Peshawari Naan for the dramatic Indian experience.
The Bhuna Goat is a game-changes from the ones served at other Indian restaurants in NYC. The tenderness of the meat is astounding - fall-off-the-bone in a wholesome sauce, this is by far the greatest medley of flavours I've had.
The food is halal, they've got some great vegetarian options, and a well stocked bar, something for everyone!
The prices are competitive; Ingredients are definitely fresh; ambience warm, lively, yet intimate; service is friendly - a welcome relief from the rubber-band smiles you're used to; and the over-all experience of Spice Symphony is great. I couldn't flatter them any more! It's always an experience to be...
