AVOID THIS PLACE!!! This is by far the most unprofessional pharmacy (or business of any sort) I’ve been to in my entire life. I arrived 10 mins early to my 3:45 vaccine appointment and didn’t leave until after 5:00pm. First, the line was long but then they separated the vaccine people. They didn’t take the woman’s insurance in front of me at first but then they worked it out. Then they wouldn’t take my insurance because they claimed I had a different insurance card on file, despite me insisting this was the only one I had. After waiting a while for them to check it, I finally just had to pay out of pocket. While I was waiting, another couple came in for their vaccine and they wouldn’t take their insurance either. They waited a while and decided to give up and go somewhere else. I also saw many people come in and complain that the line was long and that their prescriptions weren’t filled yet. While I was waiting, a couple of the pharmacists/cashiers started yelling at each other and one started crying. They went to the back and you could still hear them yelling, then the crying one got brought over to another part of the store. The other one was complaining out loud in front of the customers that she was tired of being abused here. Once it was finally time for my vaccine, I wanted to make sure with the manager if I was getting a new series or a booster before they did it (I wanted it to be the correct dosage for my clinical rotations for nursing school.) She then had to research and call people which took a long time before she finally got the answer and they did the vaccine. My cashier was nice so I’ll give them that. My recent visit to the Duane Reade store on this location to drop off a FedEx parcel left much to be desired. While I value the convenience of their FedEx services, one of their customer service representatives' lack of professionalism and decency shocked me.
The employee who was assisting me with the parcel drop-off was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Instead of providing assistance in a friendly manner, they displayed a dismissive attitude that made the experience quite unpleasant.
As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, especially when interacting with store staff. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit, and it has left a negative impression of Duane Reade's customer service standards.
It's essential for businesses to prioritize excellent customer service to retain loyal patrons and uphold their reputation. I hope that Duane Reade addresses this issue promptly and ensures that all staff members are trained to provide a positive and welcoming experience...

Because if a Fire Breaks out and FDNY can't get in then the store will personally get fined for having the door locked on a 24hr work site. Which means management of that store will be held personally responsible for that incident. Or if a break in happens and no one is there to watch the store on a 24hr worksite CCTV monitors pick it up and then NYPD will question who was working last or during the time of a break in? If no one is there someone can be fired for not being there on site at all times. That store needs to stay open at all times! That's also important. If not then a lot of people will continue to complain about closed doors locked on a 24hr site. I'm also gonna recommend a suggestion that you hire a Security officer around the clock 24/7 because customers wanna feel like that they are safe and that they wanna come in the store...
