I recently visited a boutique, initially attracted by the simple aesthetics of the window display and the brandâs persistent promotion across various online advertisements. The store's ambiance was pleasant, and it appeared that the staff had taken note of reviews regarding their greetings, so seems like there was a mild improvement in that area.
First of all, I chose not to make a purchase and do not plan to return. I noticed that the business owner, ( Lily P. on Yelp but a fan of the brand on google reviews) seems to question the authenticity of reviews primarily from Black women, while disregarding those from white women who share the last name with the brands owner or from a seemingly male profile who only leave 5 stars and nothing verifiable, and shares a name with someone working for them.
To avoid any potential misunderstanding, I am clarifying that I did not make a purchase during my visit on Saturday, April 19. I did not take note of anyone's names, and would appreciate not being offered a private shopping experience as compensation, and I will not be reaching out further or giving any more free feedback. Anyway, I was greeted, and no one used their phone that I saw, but upon searching through the overpriced collection on stuffed, disorganized racks, I quickly realized it was all for show. Staff couldn't answer questions more than yes or no or âsure yeah totallyâ and I encountered a significant disappointment: the limited range of sizes available.
As someone who falls slightly outside the typical sizing spectrum, I was far far far out of this brands sizing. It was disheartening to discover that the store did not stock options that catered to all body types. At all. In this day an age, and in a world where inclusivity should be increasingly valued, it's unfortunate that such a seemingly prestigious brand does not accommodate a wider array of sizes. It felt like a joke when the girl offered me a Large that wouldnât fit one of my legs. She even seemed to realize how silly it was to even offer it to me. They tried to help, they said their should be options online, but when I took the time later at home to look, anything larger tht i maybe was eyeing was all sold out too.
Though the quality and design of the products were seemingly luxurious, the lack of options meant I left the store without making a purchase, and wonât be back because the staff made it clear they donât even stock those options in store. I sincerely hope that this very slim straight white brand considers expanding their size range in the future to embrace and celebrate all forms of beauty. Until then, I will continue my search for a brand that caters to more...
Read moreI was not familiar with the brand untill yesterday when I searched online for a new bra lol. I decided to go check the store out without checking out their stuff and prices online as I was going Soho anyway, usually I don't read reviews but when I noticed that there are a few one star reviews out of curiosity I read them. My experience was great, it's a super cute boutique, beautiful lingerie.... As soon as I walked in the store I was greeted by someone by saying welcome and given a lot of space to walk around check everything out without being bothered by trying to sale something or talk you into buying something or giving you all the info you didn't ask about.... I'm really appreciate of the space I was given to be able to check every single piece, I hate when as soon as you walk in the store salesperson runs to you trying to give you millions of informations about the brand, sizes etc. I'm very appreciate of the space, if you have a question you should just ask. After checking every single piece out and knowing what I would like to try on I hear salesperson (I'm sorry I don't know her name) to please let her know if I have any questions, she was super nice, helped me out with everything I needed help with....I love the bra I purchased yesterday, funny when looking around I didn't look at the prices so while in a fitting room trying on that cute bras I got scared probably they cost fortune (as in a few reviews I saw people writing they lingerie is expensive or overpriced) I was really surprised seeing that bras I was trying on were $52 I think up to $100 and the one I picked was $52. Hmm I'm not sure how much people expect beautiful lingerie sold in a beautiful boutique in Soho cost? If you looking for lower prices I would suggest to go to Target? Highly recommend to stop by and check boutique out if you looking for...
Read moreI have been a Fleur du Mal fan but I have to say this boutique goes ABOVE AND BEYOND!! I live in Los Angeles where they also have a boutique and shop online often. I received an email Saturday evening stating the Mott St boutique had one left of an item that had been sold out and asking if I was still interested. They were already closed when I reached out Saturday so I sent an email response and tried again Sunday. I woke up Monday to a clear email and instruction for completing the purchase. I also called and spoke with amazingly helpful staff.
