Brandon has helped to “future proof” my body with a wholistic approach to mobility and flexibility that I’ve never seen in my 50 yrs. of athletic training. I visited to cure pain in my calf and shoulder and left with a new appreciation of “healthy” that feels like it combines PT, yoga, power, and strength training in a way that is tailored to me. He makes the exercises easy to understand with accompanying videos that should work for a beginner up to a pro, esp. with his ability to “scale up” exercises in dazzling ways. I recovered enough to compete and earn gold at the national powerlifting championships in Salt Lake City last week. 5 stars for Brandon!

Before I came to Brandon, I was having problems with my hip and torso on the left side. Due to mistakes in how I was doing some exercises at the gym for years, I wasn't able to move these parts of my body in the ways they were supposed to move anymore. The problem had grown the point that after day to day activities like walking, I was having soreness/pain in my back. I tried fixing the problem myself for a long time and eventually saw a physical therapist through my healthcare provider for a few months, but it wasn't getting better. Then someone recommended Brandon to me. After just 3 weeks of working with him, I could already feel my body was able to move better. My previous PT only focused on the areas of my body I told him were bothering me, but Brandon assessed my body as a whole and designed a workout program for me to improve all of the affected muscles, including ones I hadn't noticed. He was very knowledgeable and detailed with his approach. He provided video demonstrations as well as what cues to focus on for every exercise he asked me to do. During our sessions, he would walk me through the new exercises and make sure I was feeling the right muscle groups working. Unlike my previous PT, Brandon was constantly able to detect when I wasn't doing an exercise quite right and tell me what to focus on to fix it. I was able to get to myself to work a lot harder in Brandon's program because he helped me to know exactly how each exercise was helping fix my body as well as feel confident that I was doing them the right way. After working him for a few months, I am now able to move my body naturally. I walk my dog every day without feeling back pain afterward. I still have some more work to do to completely recover, but I have learned the skills to do it. I also understand now what I was doing wrong before and how to avoid similar problems in the future. Before I met Brandon, I was afraid that I might never be able to move normally again, especially after the previous PT couldn't help me. His help has made a huge improvement to my life! I'll also mention that I do not live in NY, so all of our sessions were done over video calls. I wasn't sure about how well this would work before doing it, but it ended up not being a...

I am in my early 60’s and have been pretty active my whole life. In 2016 I injured my back improperly lifting something heavy.

After initially working with doctors, a physical therapist and a personal trainer I relocated due to Covid and no longer had access to professional services.

I tried various forms of exercise on my own, including bicycling and some light strength training and I kept thinking I was ALMOST back to my pre-injury condition. Several weeks ago I ran into a friend, whom I know is serious about his training, and he put me in touch with Brandon.

It became clear to me during our initial conversation Brandon was focused on my physical condition and whether he could help me heal faster.

We spoke about the injury, everything I had previously tried and the results of each, where on my body I felt pain or stiffness, where my normal range of motion restricted, and other related topics. During that initial conversation I agreed to meet Brandon in Tribeca for an initial in person evaluation.

In the initial evaluation Brandon studied my ability to move different parts of my body and was able to articulate what he thought was wrong, muscularly. He estimated that it would take eight weeks for me to feel relief and back to pre-injury condition.

I was excited and wanted to start the process. Brandon followed up later that day with a detailed email (with video links) for my specific training program. I followed that program and sent videos to Brandon and returned the following week for a coaching session, and update to my training program.

I am now about five weeks into my estimated eight weeks and already feel stronger and more flexible than I have in twenty years. I can’t wait to see how I do over the next few weeks.

If more stars were available, I’d give them. Over the years, I have had many trainers, including ones at high end fitness clubs. With that as my standard of reference, I can easily say, in terms of knowledge and personal service, Brandon...

I started working with Brandon from Form PTP close to three months ago, with a debilitating back injury that prevented me from doing any hinging patterns including back squats and deadlifts. This injury had nagged me in my training for close to 7 months at that point and completely sidelined me from training for close to 4 months, even affecting day to day motor patterns like walking and sitting. After months of altering my training, taking time off from the gym, and consulting multiple physical therapists, not only was I unsuccessful in rehabbing my injury, but my day-to-day symptoms got worse.

I found Brandon through high praise from someone else who went to the same gym as me, and I loved his emphasis on movement, so I scheduled a free discovery call with him. Within just our initial screening, Brandon exceeded every expectation I had: reducing my immediate symptoms, helping me understand the areas we would be working on together, and giving me the confidence that I would not only get healthy but also stay healthy. Within the first few sessions, I was already making incredible progress towards my goal of doing barbell movements pain free, and now, three months later, I forget I was ever even injured!

Over our sessions together, Brandon has dramatically enhanced my understanding of my body and the holistic nature of movement, both sport specific and otherwise. After working with Brandon, I feel both healthier and also more well informed and equipped with the knowledge to understand what my body is doing. I highly recommend working with Brandon as he is very hard working, responsive, and very personable. Brandon pushes the envelope for what it means to be a great physical therapist and is constantly expanding his knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics. I wish I had found Brandon and Form PTP earlier because working with Brandon is easily the best and most gratifying decision I have made in my...
