So, if you’re thinking of getting a suit here, my two cents is to buy it and go around the corner to Chen Alterations at 176 Lafayette. The suit quality is good. I needed alterations in a week for a wedding and J.crew let me down. Apparently the employee didn’t mark the suit correctly and the tailor sent it back unadjusted a week later. Also, their alterations are very expensive (85 bucks) and they didn’t me think the cost til I was paying. They didn’t even tell me until the eve of the wedding day! This after I went in again and called to check on the suit. Fortunately, Chen Alterations hadn’t closed yet and agreed to do the alterations in 12 hours for a fraction of J.crew’s cost. Read moreI had an incredible experience here! I was helped by Andrew as well as another associate who provided excellent customer service. They helped me find good options for my busy partner to try on at home and then return/exchange accordingly. When I returned to exchange some sizes, they were very quick to help and found everything I needed. They even helped me use the sales and promotions to get the best deal.
