I couldn’t get many videos and photos of this place so I’ll try my best with an apt visual description. This place sits near 34st herald square where all the leisure park activities occur. There is 24/7 security downstairs in the lobby so you have to sign and out with ID. Once you get your taken in by a sweet smelling elevator that feels as if there is no movement but yet operates at a fast pace. There is a long hallway that connects you too rooms supplied by other businesses but the one you wnat to look for is clearly detailed with a sign. You come inside and it’s like any other checking in reception desk with 2 look alike nurses in scrubs. You also need to make a reservation for this place ahead of time like a month or so and for a specific date and time. I believe their availability is from 9-5 but I’m not too sure it’s on the website. I bought a Groupon deal for 3 sessions on a medium area for my buttocks for about $50 but that’s just me. They have 3 options for 3 sessions each for small, medium and large areas of the body as well 6 sessions for the same sizes. Each session is about 6 weeks apart and you have to sign a disclaimer and consent forms regarding anything and everything that happens when going through the procedure and the weeks following up to it. Anyways after I went through all that I waited in the front for about 10 mins before my doctor or whoever you call them came to pick me up and escort me to the room. There in the video you see a large device used for the laser session of the procedure. It’s mostly woman operating the business or maybe only I’m not too sure but regardless they are professional and clean with everything. I didn’t necessarily strip down naked all the way just took off my underwear so it doesn’t get in the way. I sat there bottom facing upwards and the doctor got started right way. She asked me the same preliminary questions I had sneered prior to my appointment and on the consent forms just for legal reasons and also advised me that the laser procedure hurts a minimal amount such as a rubber band snap. What she said was correct only thing was that it felt pretty strenuous and long. I’m pretty sure the whole thing went about for 20 mins or so because there was a lot of spots to cover and over a rounded surface. The inner parts hurt the most and it smells as if the hairs are burning right off which they are. By the end of it, my ass was white clean and smooth and they gave me 3 small glass containers with aloe and moisturizer just in case of itching or burning sensation which thank god I didn’t for the time being. This place was definitely worth coming back and I really did enjoy...
Read moreI’ve been struggling with persistent facial hair growth for years, most noticeably on my chin and upper lip. This was actually my fifth attempt at finding the right facility, after previously trying electrolysis and other laser centers. A friend of mine, who’s seen real improvement with her own treatments, gifted me a 6-session Groupon to Laser Bar, so I finally decided to give them a try.
Booking & Location: Scheduling was surprisingly easy. I booked my appointment over the phone and was able to come in the very next day. Laser Bar is located at Suite201 on the second floor of 1270 Broadway (between 32nd and 33rd), so it’s central and easy to get to.
The Experience: This was my first session on my full chin/beard area and upper lip. The staff explained the process clearly, checked in about my comfort level, and made sure I understood what to expect afterward. The actual treatment was quick (maybe 15 minutes total for my areas) and while there was some mild discomfort, more like a rubber band snap than actual pain, it was over before I had time to overthink it.
Comparisons: Having tried electrolysis before, I can say laser feels faster and less invasive, though the results will take multiple sessions. My friend has had a noticeable reduction in growth after several treatments here, which makes me hopeful.
If you’ve tried other hair removal methods and felt discouraged, this might be worth considering. Expect multiple sessions - one treatment isn’t a magic fix. Groupon deals make it affordable to try without a huge upfront investment. Location is clean, professional, and easy to reach.
Overall, my first experience at Laser Bar was smooth, professional, and encouraging. I’ll be updating my review as I go through the package, since long-term results are what really matter. But so far, I’d recommend them for anyone curious about laser hair removal for stubborn...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place and their service, as they came recommended. On my consultation session, i was told my lighter brown hair were definitely treatable to a full 90/100%, but i may need up to 10-12 sessions. I was ok with that, hoping what they were saying was truth. I purchased a full body hair removal package and got 7 sessions. At the very last session, i was not even 20% hairless on my bikini and surrounding area( i had better results on other parts of my body, but not more than 50%) and i was told by my technician during the last session that actually no matter how much i try and if i purchase more sessions, my results may only be 10% better, which is definitely not what i was told in the beginning. I really don’t appreciate the lack of transparency and being told one thing before getting the service, and a completely different thing at the end of my package. They will not take responsibility for this poor business practice and they should be more truthful to their patients to not waste anyones time and money. I was told i will be reached out by their manager to talk about my experience, and nobody reached out. I cannot recommend this place to any of my friends in good faith. UPDATE: they just gave me a call to address my concerns and provide help and some complimentary sessions to try to see if i will see better results. I truly appreciate that. We booked a first one in a month, i will update here how everything goes. Thanks Laser Bar...
