This place isn't the same as it used to be a number of years ago. I used to love the chic pieces and great deals but the store has declined drastically. First off, there is a main store and an outlet store. I visited both and was completely turned off in the outlet store (who also made an appearance at the regular store) by a black African man who was very rude and seemed upset with the world. I glanced at the previous reviews and I'm guessing it's the same man who denied a person of color of job- how unfortunate when he is a dark skinned person himself. On the bright side, there is a pleasant Asian man in the non outlet store who was very nice and helpful! As far as the boutique itself goes, the selection has become really slim to the point where I find the store to be a tad scanty. I did find a nice green blazer and slack suit on sale for $24, but the fit is a bit weird so I definitely have to get it tailored. If I'm in Soho, I'd probably return but only to buy clearance. However, I would not deliberately visit Soho just to go to this store like I have in the past. Considering all these sad reviews about the man, they should seriously consider replacing him. Those reviews date back to 3 years ago and he's still there with his nasty attitude. Very unfortunate, as it definitely...
Read moreCute fast-fashion clothing store. You have to search some to find anything of a decent quality that won't unravel after one wash but they have some nice things. The point of fast fashion isnt quality though, it's seasonally turned over items; this place is pretty good for that. Shop the sales not the regular items, they'll be on sale in a week or a month and you'll find it's a fun experience. I got several skirts and tops during their $1.00 sale but noticed they can charge up to $50 ($49.99) for some faux leather pants I saw. This would be a good deal but the pleather was already peeling off some of the floor and sales items. To have that on the rack, esp next to random underwear on hangers seemed kind of tacky. Odd thing is they have another store by the same name with the same items directly across the street and you can watch them transport clothing from store to store but they charge around $1.00 more? My friends jokingly call them unnecessary dollar store clothing. Because do you really "need" a shoulderless crop top? No. But for $1.00...
Read moreI had a horrible experience at necessary clothing. When I originally bought the two items I purchased I asked about their return policy and they told me I was able to get a refund within 10 days of purchase. I came back to refund the clothes and the manager refused the refund or exchange even though on their refund policy it says I can return it within 10 days. The clothing wasn’t used and she claimed I moved the tags and pointed to a spot where no dirt was found. I don’t even have the equipment to move the tags. I’m pretty sure she made an assumption that I wouldn’t bring back the clothes in good shape because of my skin color. If anyone has a suggestion of how I can talk to their corporate about this issue I’ll gladly...
