I trusted reviews and popped in for a massage about 3 weeks ago. I wish I could erase this hour of my life. I guess a lesson learned the hard way. One side of my lower lower back is still in pain. Hurts every day and I keep kicking myself about not making that untrained woman stop pressing her elbow into a spot that has no muscle whatsoever. Why would anyone do that? Obviously you can't expect "therapists" at these sort of places to know anatomy but I've never had an injury from a massage. I am writing review because it's seriously ruined my quality of life and I so wish every day that I had never set foot in this place. I just had sore neck and shoulders and left with a perhaps forever lasting misalignment or something I have yet to figure out (keep hoping it goes away but probably time to see someone about it). I'm so so upset and do not wish this on anyone. Personally, I'll now be sticking to licensed masseuses or just the shoulder rubs at the nail salons. I never knew a massage could actually ever lead to this sort of damage. Otherwise everyone perfectly nice and place is dingy and I heard a lady on the phone the entire time because walls aren't really walks but I'm not so fussy so that would not have prompted a review and especially...
Read moreI am a new mom and with nursing, carrying an infant, and not able to exercise or stretch until recently I found my back and shoulders in some serious need of love. This place is in our neighborhood and I walk by it daily so I thought I’d give it a go. I called to see if I needed a reservation and they took one immediately! They were very pleasant on the phone!
When I arrived I was greeted very warmly and taken back to my room immediately. I stripped down to just underwear (as instructed) and got onto my table. The table was a bit stiff and the face hole didn’t have padding that covered it completely (my chin was resting on something that wasn’t padding) but it wasn’t hard enough to make me notice the entire session.
The massage was amazing. I had a man come in and did a fantastic job of treating both the left and right side of my body equally. The pressure and attention to specific areas was perfect. He focused a lot on my neck and feet, which plenty of attention on my back as well. There was also a very soothing face massage that was heavenly!
It’s $52 ($48 if you pay cash) and worth every penny!...
Read moreThe simple, trashy exterior masks a clean, calm, and private atmosphere, with more than fair prices and polite, skilled masseurs. They will reveal and ease aches you weren't even aware of. As a sufferer of chronic back pain, I cannot recommend this place enough - the massage is invariably supreme. Once, during a particularly bad bout, a masseuse firmly recommended that I skip the time I'd asked for my feet, so she could work longer on my back.
Two words of warning: the masseurs will err on the side of firmness rather than gentleness - unless directed otherwise - though a little pain is well worth the bliss afterwards. For the modest, be aware that they are not shy about exposing and massaging your butt or thighs.
Again, I cannot recommend this place enough. If I didn't put myself in their professional hands every few weeks, my back would be a stiff, painful...
