Thrift Shop — Local services in New York

Super sexist. Prices are nice, but I visited this shop just the other day for the first time and watched one of the men who was working there behind the counter say something very aggressive and rude to a young woman, and after she stood up for herself, he gaslit her, then pretended like it was a language barrier. She was very kind about it. There was no language barrier. He came at her badly enough that I started to get ready to intervene by standing right by them and watching them where they could both see me.

He then continued to be unkind to another woman, and another man who was working there with him was glaring me (a Latina woman) down. I didn’t say anything to anyone there and I wasn’t in their way. There was no reason for their behavior. They then hit me in the face with a pair of pants while he was grabbing a pile of clothes, and said nothing.

And they were very hostile while I was walking to the counter to buy something while saying they were closing, at least 5 minutes before they closed, after I let it be known that I was rushing, from openly voicing it to my friend (loud enough for the...

This place can be a hit or miss. You definitely can find a Hidden gem amongst the rubble lol. It nothing fancy at all but it’s the closest thrift store to me and it’s pretty decent. The prices are alright but doesn’t compare to the thrift stores in Upstate New York where I frequently go to. There has been several instances where I have felt rushed out as they were closing for the night but it was at least a 5-10 minutes before there official closing time. They once said that they were going to be shutting off the lights now so you better leave or we’ll have to clock you in here in a joking manner. You also get the occasional crackhead that will come in to the store and act crazy. The workers do nothing to stop it but ignore them completely every time until they just leave. It’s quite amusing to watch lol. With all this being said it’s a pretty decent thrift store with no thrills just laughs but be sure to check with them if something is for sale or not because you might end up liking something but there not willing to sell it to...

I love this store. Staff is friendly, clothes are not the greatest deal but if you’re lucky you can find designer clothes (I’ve found a few) and the prices are awesome, from 4 dollar shirts to 30 dollar jackets.
