Krisp Events Catering — Local services in New York

Planning my own wedding was extremely stressful at times. My groom and I dreamt of an intimate wedding. Due to these unfortunate times we chose to invited close family and friends which were 40 guests in total. Unfortunately, the recommended catering companies given to us by our venue would not cater such a small event. While googling all night and day to find a catering company within 6 months (yes I made a few obstacles for myself lol) I stumbled onto Krisp Events website. After requesting a quote I heard back from a rep the following day. A huge shoutout to Nora for without her I could not have planned my wedding. Not only was Nora the sweetest but she was patient and responsive at all times of the day. Krisp was extremely flexible with their menu options and allowed us to modify so much of our wedding from food to the bar. Nora followed up with me regarding all details such as decor and was easily reachable through email. On the day of our wedding the staff was on time and set up our event as my bridal team decorated the space. The staff hired by Krisp was without a doubt the most professional staff members I’ve ever met. I couldn’t have been happier with their service. Last but not least the food, the food was beyond delicious. The quality of their dishes in along with the cost was hard to beat. My guests were raving about every dish especially the appetizers. One aspect of my experience I would modify is how they allow clients to pay. Perhaps create a portal so clients can pay securely using a credit card because sending checks can be a bit risky. Unfortunately their location was not readily accessible to clients. So mailing it in was my only option. This review is long overdue. However, we are glad we waited because seven (7) months later, we are STILL getting rave reviews from our friends and families about the food at our wedding! We had a VERY difficult venue that required all of our vendors to submit referrals and agree to a multitude of specific rules. Our original caterer cancelled two (2) months out from our wedding date (after a year of planning). We did not know what to do! They had already been approved and accepted by our venue. We were devastated! KRISP quickly reviewed the menu / pricing we had negotiated and budgeted with that caterer. They were SO reassuring, and offered us MORE options for a lower cost. We could not believe it! After experiencing an incredible tasting at their gorgeous venue, we were SOLD! THE FOOD IS UNREAL, seriously! When we were low on alcohol, they ran to the store to ensure that our guests would not notice any lapse! They even secured and stored our cake topper for months after our wedding! Despite coming on board with less than 2 months to prepare, KRISP navigated a VERY difficult venue, provided incredible service and kept all the stress out of our site! We worked with Krisp for our wedding on September 1, 2019. We had the chance to visit their space in Brooklyn for couple rounds of amazing tastings including all kinds of appetizers, entrees, cocktail and even dessert samples. Oh man, the variety and creativity of their food is simply mind blowing! We could clearly tell that their chef always puts their clients' need at front and center of everything.

During the seated dinner reception, our guests were pleasantly impressed by the food's beautiful presentation and deliciousness. They even helped us source a couple of Lady M crepe cakes for the dessert station!
