I used to bring both my laptop and desktop computers here. They done such a wonderful job. They were so nice and always willing to take the extra mile to clean them and if I called them they would help troubleshoot your issue over the phone. I felt they were honest and didn't have to worry about a thing. Now, the other day I took my laptop in for a new keyboard and battery. A no brainer, so I thought. The "new" guy that works there now seems to be rude and arrogant and nobody knows as much as him. I asked were the other guys were and he said that they didn't work there for about a year and wasn't saying very nice things which I really didn't appreciate. I say this because they always treated me fare and respectfully. They always took care of me. I haven't been there for about a year and a half or so. I was unaware they weren't there anymore. So thinking I would get the great service and respect I have always had recieved from Invision, I left the laptop. I told him I needed it back soon because I was starting at Weber State University. Two weeks later I called them because he didn't call me as he told me he would. He told me he had to break in the shell to get the numbers. I told him he should've had them in the system already. It was only a quote, not a diagnostic. He said he didn't but I didn't believe him but let it go until he told me that it was going to cost $40 for the battery and $65 or something like that of the keyboard and an additional $65 for diagnosing and some other numbers for his hourly rate. I told him that I wasn't going to pay the diagnostic because I already knew what I needed for it. So he said "okay I can just charge you $35 for my time". I was dismayed that I let it go. I told him I will not do the keyboard but the battery I need now. I again waited for him to call me when the battery arrived but he didn't again call me. When I showed up to pick it up he had a bad attitude. I will NOT be returning to Invision...
Read moreWhat can I say, you are all short changing yourselves if you don't use these folks. A year ago I was writing a grant for our city & three days before it was to be submitted my computer suddenly died & everything for the grant was my hard drive. Literally and desperately, I searched for computer stores & came across InVision Computers which was the closest to our home. When I called, Reed answered & after describing my plight he said to bring it in. After doing some checking all I needed was a power cord & $20 later I was out the door -- (btw, he saved my bacon & we got the grant). This spring I took my laptop in again and he installed an antivirus software & while working on it Reed explained in detail why my computer was running so stinking slow (cheap hard drive). Shoot ahead two months later & he installed a 500 GB solid state hard drive & it was well worth the money. He was also able to keep my original hard drive installed to use as a backup. My computer now literally runs 200% faster & I couldn't be happier, it's like I've got a new computer. Reed is VERY friendly, honest & knowledgeable; while working with him he addressed all of my concerns & I never felt rushed despite answering my "stupid" questions. He also doesn't beat around the bush & tells you exactly what is needed and never tries to sell you something you don't need. Give 'em a try, I promise you won't be...
Read moreI came down to Utah from Boise to visit family for Christmas, and while I was down here I was going to put together a computer for a family friend. I started putting it together in the afternoon of the 23rd, and then I realized that there was no CPU cooler. Since I was going to be heading home on Monday morning, I knew I needed to get one while I was down here. I searched for computer parts stores near Willard, called stores in Brigham City, then Logan, none of them either sold parts or had a cooler that would be effective for that CPU. Started calling some in Ogden, and the 7th one I called was InVision Computers. And he (Reed) told me that he had 3 different coolers for that CPU. At this time he had technically closed the store, but was helping out some last customers, and he said if I came down right then, he'd stay open for me. I was able to get the cooler, choosing one after he explained each cooler, and he also gave me some more information about the right thermal paste and gave me some tips with installing Windows 11. I'm so grateful that he had a cooler in stock and stayed open for me. I will definitely be using this store more for getting...
