Deep Deuce Grill — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

The name of the establishment befits the experience that you receive if you enter it at your own risk. When we got there yesterday, August 14th, they had several tables available. However, there was no hostess or “seat yourself” signs anywhere in sight, so my husband went up to the bar to ask the bartender if we could sit anywhere. She ignored him for quite a while, making herself look busy (the bar was half-empty). When she realized that he wasn’t going away, she finally made eye contact, which gave him an opportunity to ask. She rudely said that we could sit anywhere and someone would be with us. My husband came back, and we picked a small 2-person table directly across from the bar. After sitting there for five minutes with nobody in sight, my husband decided to go up to the bar to ask for a menu, as we were in a hurry, trying to get to a show in time, so we wanted to have our whole order ready by the time someone would grace us with their attention. The same bartender refused to give him the menus and said that we’d get helped, so my husband had to come back to the table empty-handed. The icing on the cake was when this so-called “bartender” forgot that when you’re adding water to a drink, you shouldn’t use it as a hose and direct it at the dining room. She sprayed me right on the side of my face, with the water getting in my left eye, my lips, and the whole left side of my face and head. Worst of all, she pretended like nothing happened, even after I exclaimed loudly, having been shocked by the unexpected restaurant shower. We couldn’t leave fast enough. I understand that staffing has been an issue, but must you employ someone that looks like they’ve abused substances to a point that their brain isn’t functioning right? Food & service is great most of the time. However, beware before asking or accepting a position from this location. At first I enjoyed working here and I loved the guests. I was told that I always did a great job and that my fellow employees enjoyed working with me. However, come to find out as I'm filing my taxes for 2015, ZERO dollars had been getting deducted from my paychecks for Federal Taxes as stated on my W2. On top of that, after trying to contact the "manager" several times & leaving a voicemail, I am told, the next day, that they have to let me go due to lack of consistency on my schedule. Something that had NEVER been brought up before and was a KNOWN factor when I started. I had also asked the week prior if I needed to be worried about my job because other employees had been let go for mystery reasons.I was told by the "manager" I had nothing to worry about, apparently I did. I have always given quality service and went above and beyond to help fellow staff members. This is a privately owned bar and it is very clear there is no real manager in the place. The employees run the bar and on any given night you will see "manager" taking shots with guest. If you ask the manager a question or for help, like my job or W2, I'm referred to speak to someone else because they have no idea how it works. I am shocked at how they handle business and I highly discourage anyone from working here, which is sad for me to even have to say. Went in for lunch. Great looking place. Food looked delicious. It was extremely busy so we expected the service to be a little slower. It all went downhill 20 minutes after we left. Apparently I got food poisoning because I left and was sick to my stomach. I didn’t have any alcohol and the only thing I had eaten before going there was a bagel so I know it was something I ate there. My daughter called not to complain (I wasn’t looking to get any money back or free food) we simply wanted to let them know so someone else wouldn’t get sick. The girl who answered the phone grilled my daughter and then hung up on her. So I called back and yes I wasn’t real happy. I tried to explain that I didn’t want anything, I just wanted to let them know. Again I was met with a defensive person, who apparently has worked there for 7 years and said this has never happened in all those years. She didn’t think that maybe she just never heard that it’s happened? She was unprofessional, snotty and rude. I was suppose to get a call back (which I did not ask for) and never got. I did ask to speak to a manager, but never got that either. Food poisoning happens. All it takes it one person to cross contaminate something.
