Page hospital was outrageously unhelpful in helping my suffering father, my father had chronic back pain and intense muscle spasms, he tends to throw up anything that enters his body including liquids and medicine, a long with very very uncontrollable muscle spasms that cause him to shake, kick up his legs, causes him to yell out of pain, and uncontrollably causes him to get out of bed because of his back pain, even if he cannot stand and he knows that, he does it anyway because of how intense his pain is. Page is the closet town to where we live, and the drive there took two hours, my dad being driven 100mph suffered in the truck for two hours, once we reached page we thought he would be helped, we thought the nurses at Page Hospital would help my suffering father, instead they had a whole attitude with us and kept trying to pin down my father, my father who can’t lay straight because of his muscle spasms and his pain, instead of trying to be understanding, they just closed our room and closed the curtain and left him there for god knows how long, after hearing my father yell and scream for the nurse and doctors help, I knew we wouldn’t be helped. They did not treat us the way their motto goes, they did not help the ones in need. After not doing anything for my father, they told us to go home, after that long agonizing drive, after my dad was still yelling and having intense spasms, once they got my dad into the wheelchair to take him back to our vehicle, he started to spasm again and he asked if he can just spend the night because the pain was starting again, during this episode his legs were not able to move and his back gave up completely, instead of helping us AGAIN, they called security on us. My dad is an elder that needs medical attention, and that’s not what we got, instead we just got one bag of IV and a “go home”. Do not go to Page Hospital, no matter how serious it is, they...
Read moreBanner says their mission is "Making health care easier, so life can be better." The care I've received in Page, AZ has been OK. Not great. Billing is far from easy. For over a year, I've tried to contact the billing office. No one answers phones. No one responds to voice mail. No one responds to letters. It's almost impossible to talk to anyone. Wrote several letters and emails asking for explanation and details about a $15 charge and was ignored. Instead they turned my account over to collections for this tiny amount even though in the 12 months, I've paid several thousand out of pocket and I have good insurance. When I finally talked to someone, all they wanted was their $15 and they had to argue about when they sent me the bills. I didn't recall get a bill for that amount. Was told that it's 'not personal' and that their 'system' automatically sends patients to collections regardless of the amount. Their mission statement should be "At Banner Money is more important than Patients" (even if it costs far more than $15 to collect from a patient). I'll do my best to go anywhere else than Banner. Not only has this issue been outrageous, but it seems their imaging is sub standard and the care sub-par. Most providers aren't even Banner employees and visits result in several bills from several providers, just adding to the cost of care. My wife had to stay in the hospital after the 'contrast' sent her kidneys in a crisis. I think I'm better off getting MRIs and Xrays in a larger city with more modern equipment and maybe even a more communicative and respectful billing department. If you have to go to Banner, it's best to just pay up or they'll suck every penny out of you through their collections shark, even if it's a little more than the cost of two lattes. "Making health care easier" my eye! Money is all that...
Read moreAvoid this hospital unless it's a life or death situation. Absolutely horrible experience each of the 3 times I ended up in the ER with COVID complications. Proper treatment on the first visit would have eliminated the need for 2 more troops to the ER later. Be prepared for a medical experience that is unfortunately heavily mixed with politics and quality of care that seems to be based upon which political party you are affiliated with. Update 2 /18/22 After their supposed careful review of my concerns, this worthless excuse for a hospital completely dismissed my legitimate concerns. I am completely baffled how this hospital doesn't realize or maybe understand how much of a joke they are to the citizenry of Page. We haven't lived here for very long and during that time, on numerous occasions we have been told to go to St George or Flagstaff for medical care. The completely partisan head doctor of the ER went out to the parking lot to lecture my wife about her moral responsibility to get vaccinated and then proceeded into a diatribe about politics and how bad the previous administration was. All while I was in the ER struggling to breath. When said doctor found out I wasn't vaccinated he decided it was best not to treat me as per his previous recommendations. Was sent home with an inhaler. If he had treated me on that first visit I certainly wouldn't have needed the 2 follow up visits. Visits I might add, where they actually treated me with the same recommendations as the wothless doctor from the first visit. It's all about profit and political posturing with this place. The hypocratic oath and/or the Nuremberg code have been thrown out the window. Proceed at...
