Unfortunately I posted a fantastic review at first. But I had such a bad experience... I had to rewrite it. The first time coming, had such an amazing experience with the woman who had helped me. The second and third I may add... Was horrible. She unfortunately wasn't there. But not only that, I went to get a color match for foundation. I immediately asked for help, she probably was a manager and said ok, I'll send someone over to you. Ok cool, I stood there for at least 20 minutes. Probably closer to 30 if I'm being honest. Then I gave up, because I was on a time frame. So I started my search alone, swatching some on my own until someone younger walked up to me and tried to help me. She showed me 1, from one brand, chose 2 or 3 colors, and none of them matched. She pretty much gave up, and was like... Oh yeah I think this last one is a pretty close match. And walked away. The most important part here, there were 0 tissues anywhere, there were no sponges, no qtips, no makeup remover. All of them were empty and all the tables with mirrors were empty, and filthy, it was pretty early in the day too. I had one makeup wipe left in my bag, and she took it... And decided to wipe her own hands, before wiping the test swatches off of me... And threw the wipe away without even offering it back to me... Even though she ripped it in half to "save some for me". đ It was just extremely unprofessional, there were plenty of workers walking around, another did try to help me and she was sweet. But again, just didn't know what she was doing. At that point, I just grabbed my ol' reliable and walked out. Not gonna be coming back to this location...
Read moreThe only message I want to make clear to this manager and the district manager which oversees this location is this: It is against the law to add customers to marketing emails without their prior knowledge or consent. As retail professionals you Should Not be coaching team members, or allowing team members, to pressure customers into providing sales associates with their phone number or email when they are not rewards members without explaining they will be signed up for an account BECAUSE IT IS ILLEGAL. I was helped in the store by an associate named Tiguidanke. She asked for my phone or email, I said no. She said she could not check me out without this information. I asked if I was really not allowed to make a purchase without that information. She said no. I pushed back on that and she changed her story- I would be allowed to check out but I am not allowed to make a return without giving her my phone number. I asked if I could make a return with a copy of my receipt. She said no. I've researched Ulta's return policy and this is clearly a lie. I am not sure why she was so insistent on taking my information, but I found it deeply inappropriate and I will likely never return to this location because of her behavior. I hope someone on the leadership staff here communicates to the team members that they are out of compliance with FTC regulation if they are forcing customers to hand over personal data without prior consent to be signed up for...
Read moreBe very careful when placing a âsame day deliveryâ order. If they get your order wrong, they will offer no recourse WHATSOEVER! They wonât even apologize for the inconvenience. I placed an order that was to be a gift for the holiday, tipped the courier, all for the order to be âCOMPLETELYâ incorrect! I called the store multiple times to speak with someone about the issue, and was in communication with the âOperations Managerâ she immediately started talking about how they canât do refunds over the phone, and I have to bring the item back to get my money back. I never stated that I wanted a refund, but that I wanted the item, which is why I placed the order to begin with. I explained that I tried repurchasing the item, but that the coupon code that I initially used, no longer worked. Iâm not sure how things work at Ulta, in terms of managers offering discounts, but I feel as if a discount at the same level as my coupon shouldâve been offered, so that I could replace the order, instead that did not happen, there was no sense of trying to correct the âMISTAKE ON THE STOREâS PARTâ whatsoever! Iâve been purchasing my holiday perfume sets from ULTA for the last few years, however I think after this experience, I will go back to purchasing...
