After reading encouraging reviews my daughter decided to go skating there. After being there about an hour she decided to leave given the condition of the ice. There were several ruts and it appeared that it hadn't been refreshed by a Zamboni. The rental skates weren't in good condition either. Considering that it is the Christmas Season and in the city center one would think that it would be a holiday showcase. How disappointing! Was having a good time but then watched a homeless man pick up an abandoned hot chocolate from the bench and get yelled at for it. I offered to buy him a new hot chocolate and the employee told me I couldn’t. I went inside to ask again and he said he wouldn’t sell me a hot chocolate because I was just going to give it to that man. I lied and said I wasn’t and then did anyway. We arrived just in time for the fresh ice as the zamboni parked. It was the end of the day, an hour before closing and between freshly sharpened skates and rough ice, it is tough.
