Do not place orders at this store. Order from the website online. I have been a very loyal Macys customer for years. I rarely shop in the store but since I was on a business trip in area I popped in. I saw an item I liked and was looking for it on the website so that I could order and not have to worry about damaging it in my suitcase.
The sales person suggested I buy the item in the store and have it shipped. This was a great idea so i thought.
I asked for a tracking number and she told me to just contact the store for an update . I was given a receipt and was lead to believe everything was processed and I would have my item arrive by the time I got back to my home state in a few days.
A week later and no shipment. The store is giving me the run around. I have called every day for the past 3 days and still nothing is resolved.
I shop at Macys for the stellar customer service that has always been incomparable to other department stores.
This experience has really questioned my loyalty to the brand.
7/31 update. So I called 7/27 7/29 7/30 and 7/31. Worked with Jasmin a department manager the first 3 days with no result. She called me back once just say she had not done anything because the computer was down think that was 7/29.
7/31 I called again got another manager Bryan. He acknowledged my concern and was very empathetic. He took my name and number said he would go to his office and research. Called me back in less than 10 minutes gave me a tracking number and my delivery date. I was able to verify it was with UPS.
THANK YOU BRYAN for being customer obsessed and implementing urgency. You gave me immediate peace of mind. I greatly appreciate your attention to my concern and care in handling.
I am disappointed that I ordered this item on 7/24 and it was not mailed until 7/26. I get packages within 2 days when i order online.
Feedback to management This is something you should share with your customers. I have been in sales and I know how commission works. I am happy to let an associate get credit for a purchase when they helped me with my selection. But give your customer the right expectations and set up a follow up call to provide the tracking number. A customer should not have to call in and get the run around.

Read moreI ordered a coat to one of the stores for pick up and when it got there I decided I needed a size larger. I got a medium but wanted a large. The employees helped me refund my order and get a new order placed where instead of shipping to the store it would ship to my moms house. This went smoothly. But once the order almost arrived to my house the tracking number said that the name on the order didn’t match the address. Well yes. It is my moms house. And it said this would delay the delivery. I checked back the next day to see what they updated and they changed the address to a completely different state that is not associated with me. So I called Macy’s right away to tell them this. They said they would get this taken care of after a long call. And I closesly followed the tracking number info and it said that it got delivered to this other address in a completely different state. And this was all not upon my approval. I was never reached out to about this address change. I called again and the personal helping me said the would mark it as lost in transit and send another coat. I reiterated the address I wanted it to go to and that I did not want that changing without my approval. This is what the first employee said they were going to do so I was very skeptical but they reassured me that the coat would be shipped to my moms house. They also said they sent me a new email with a “new tracking number” which just turned out to be the same as before so when I clicked it, it just said it had been shipped to this other address. Well about a week and half go by and I swing by my moms house to say hi and she says I have a letter that looks like it’s from Macy’s. Well I open it and turns out it is. But what does the letter say? It says that they will be unable to issue credit or reshipment of the product because of the below “proof” of delivery. Below it has the tracking number the delivery date and time,(which are both correct), and delivery destination. The destination says it was shipped to my moms address on the letter! Which is completely untrue. And the proof is right in the tracking number. I’ve spent over an hour on the phone in total talking to customer service which hasn’t gotten me anywhere. Read moreThis beautiful department store is just steps away from my office and I have visited the establishment frequently to purchase men’s dress clothes, as needed over the past three years but I will never shop here again. The five times I have visited in the last six months to a year have been dreadful: I had a Macy’s digital gift card I tried to apply towards a purchase and the agent told me there was no way to apply it. I came in a second time and I insisted to use the gift card balance and after an inconceivable 45 minutes they finally figured out how to apply it but I was very late for an appointment. I have a Macy’s credit card and I use the card for discounts and then pay it off with a debit card in the same visit. The last time I did this, the attendant failed to process the transaction successfully, however, I only learned there was a balance on the card when I received a late payment notice! I asked for help finding a particular color of pants in my size and rather than check anywhere, they just insisted that since it was busy that I go online. I went online and ordered what appeared to be the same style of pants, same size, different color and amazingly the pants feel to be two inches wider at the waist! Today I attempted to try on some dress shirts (to avoid the former issue) and was strongly pressured not to try them on as the attendant did not want to have to restock them.
