I'm 5' 9" and 210 with a 31 inch waist. I hate shopping for clothes. It's always been a bummer, I spend a lot of time in the gym, I always have, but nothing fits and I either don't buy anything or get something that I usually regret because the fit sucks. Enter State and Liberty. First, their clothes are awesome! The fabric with everything is stretchy (but not in a cheesy way) and perfect for the dude that works out a lot! Second, their staff at the Utah store were super helpful and friendly and I felt catered to. Many of my items (I've been back a few times now) have to be altered. Some of the things I buy need to be shortened a bit. Third, if there's an issue (there was a random stain on something shipped to me after alteration) they totally bend over backwards to take care of it - great customer service. Finally, what you might want to know is that, curiously, I buy Large, X-Large, and XX-Large. So the size on the tag doesn't mean a lot. It means something within that product line, but not overall to the State and Liberty brand. Just something to be aware of, not really an issue. The XL and XXL stuff I get tailored. It's all fits in the arms and chest/shoulders but obviously the XXL is going to be long on a guy my height. It's such a relief to put something on and actually LOVE how I look in it. I'm not sure why I'd buy clothes anywhere else at...
Read moreUpdate; The store manager called me an asked what they could do to improve my experience in relation to this very review. I’m blown away with this customer service and will indeed update my initial 4 star rating to a 5. For the folks of a different generation who appreciate a seasoned tailor, this staff is young, but regardless I would advise you give them a chance.
I’m 5’7” and 190. Bought two shirts and had them fitted a couple weeks ago, the fitting process was smooth and the crew did a great job getting measurements. Came in to pick up the shirts today and the fit is perfect. Want to mention Cam Greene - he’s a real professional, does not sales-push in the least, and has always done a great job greeting people coming in the store. I give 4 stars because some other employees seem like they couldn’t be bothered to greet me, and were at times mildly unprofessional. These are small complaints, the staff is just young overall, but it was a good experience overall.
Summary; The softest and best fitting shirts I own, but shamefully expensive. Ask...
Read moreBy far the most comfortable, attractive, and well-made suits and shirts I have ever owned. In-store customer service was top notch from start to finish. I purchased these articles then requested multiple adjustments over a period of 5 months in order to achieve a perfect fit with each. They patiently worked with me (I live 2 hours away in Idaho...even sent me FedEx labels for returns to save me a trip) until reaching my complete satisfaction--Nathan in particular. He was phenomenal. Always knew who I was (so did Ashley!), whether calling or visiting the store, as well as the status of my orders, as though we had just talked the day before...he even had a free shirt made for me when there were some tailor related delays early on. Super grateful for their hard work and perseverence getting me from A to Z with my orders and various adjustments and would happily recommend...
