Customer Experience Feedback – Nordstrom Fashion Place Mall On July 26, 2025, I had the pleasure of meeting Misty, a sales representative at the Nordstrom store in Fashion Place Mall, Salt Lake City. From the moment we met, Misty was an absolute delight—warm, engaging, and professional. The sales team had just completed a beautiful new display of high-end handbags, and Misty approached me with perfect timing, asking if I’d like a closer look. Naturally, I said yes.
We connected instantly. I shared with her that I’ve owned several YSL and Louboutin bags and had never seen such a selection at this location before. Our conversation flowed effortlessly, and it made my shopping experience that much more enjoyable. I ultimately purchased a stunning white Christian Louboutin handbag.
Misty asked if she could stay in touch regarding future events or arrivals, and I happily agreed. I also mentioned I was looking for a specific belt featured in the Anniversary Sale book. While it turned out to be a misprint (the AllSaints belt was unavailable), another associate joined us and helped search online until we found what I was looking for. The collaboration was outstanding.
Fast forward to the following week—Misty sent me a Nordstrom text message with screenshots of some newly arrived YSL bags. One caught my eye immediately: a gorgeous green bag. As a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated—the first sorority founded by African-American women in the United States—pink and green are especially meaningful to me.
On Saturday, August 2, my husband and I returned to Nordstrom. I made my way back to the handbag section and asked to speak with Misty. Though she was with another customer, a different associate kindly helped me take a closer look at the green bag. Once Misty was available, she came right over, and we picked up right where we left off—chatting about the bag, its details, and how perfect it was.
And yes, I bought it—two luxury bags in one week! Misty once again provided exceptional service: patient, knowledgeable, and proactive. When she needed help to complete the transaction, she quickly got the assistance required to make the process seamless.
I will absolutely continue to ask for Misty whenever I shop at Nordstrom. She is a gem. And I must commend the entire handbag department—every associate I interacted with was professional and helpful. It’s a clear reflection of Nordstrom’s excellent training and high standards for customer service.

I went in with my 7 year old, I been thru a lot last few years & my confidence has dropped so I don’t dress up & do my hair & make up like I used to. I been wanting to change my life & be more positive & someone told me when you look great you feel great. I’m not very social since Covid & what I been thru. I went in and instantly was greeted by Ritchell in beauty department & she assisted me with some products that can help my skin. I got melasma really bad while pregnant & have auto immune issues, I’m using so many topicals from my Dr but they make my skin so red, dry and my skin peels at times. She helped me find amazing products and ended up taking an hour or more out of her time to do my whole face with makeup. I loved it! I was surprised & felt like I hadn’t in a long time.honestly I didn’t recognize myself I wanted to cry! But I couldn’t mess up all her hardwork. Throughout the make up process she was genuine, sweet ,kind, & spoke so positive & with confidence! She went above and beyond & that day & had a conversation with me about her family & my family during the make up process. She was even sweet & kind to my daughter who sat there watching her tablet. I’m New to Utah & don’t really know anyone here, I been really hard on myself & Ritchell taking her time with me that day to make me look & feel beautiful kind of healed a part of me. The products she recommended were great and have made my skin clearer, softer,& glowing(my melasma is fading at a faster pace now) no more dryness or redness. It has helped me to start building my confidence slowly & now I put more love and time into my Self! Read moreFresh off the plane for a business trip and wanted to stop at Nordstrom because I’m a fan of the store and always find hidden gems at different locations. I’m a loss prevention manager for a large retail product, and was requested to make a visit and check out the area for an opportunity to relocate for a position in my company. Im a Hispanic male and was wearing sweatpants and a hoodie. A women named Catherine approached me as I was looking at some garments and asked me if I wanted her to setup a fitting room. I kindly told her I was fine, and that I would grab her later if I needed anything. She paused a second with suspicious eyes and glanced at the clothes I was checking out. As I continued shopping she was clearly following me, and approached me again as I grabbed another piece of clothing. I reiterated to her I was fine. I walked towards the shoes and a young man began to follow me, approaching me asking the same question. I told him I was fine and continued browsing. The gentleman continued to follow me and eventually approached me again. Frustrated, because I clearly was being profiled, I gave the young man the clothes and told him to start a fitting room for me. As he did that I went to go check out a pair of jeans that caught my eyes earlier to grab a size, and Catherine appeared again asking what size I was looking for and then asking where the clothes I previously had were. I ended leaving and going to the nordstroms at fashion place mall. I was asked once if I needed any assistance and then left alone the remainder of my time there to shop. The store in downtown Salt lake is ridiculous, especially Catherine. I do feel she instructed the young man to follow me, but both made me extremely uncomfortable and upset.
