The DLC — Local services in Salt Lake City

As a performing musician, I've got nothing but love for The DLC and everyone associated with it! The booking and promotions staff are friendly and very responsive. The sound engineers know their stuff and work collaboratively with the bands to understand their setup and deliver the best audience experience. The stage is solid - it's a small stage with not much elevation off the floor, but it's perfect for the space. Impressively, the DLC has a sizable backstage area and a comfortable green room (although a backstage bathroom would be a very welcome addition!). Thanks to its built-in audience spilling over from the adjacent arcade bar, we've had some of our best turnouts ever on weekend nights at Quarters DLC and we're thrilled to be hosting our record release event here. Our band (ROOM) has played at this fine establishment several times both with other local acts and a variety of amazing touring bands. We have always been so impressed by the utmost quality, professionalism, and capacity for care that we have found at this venue. Each and every time we play here we leave with a smile, always fairly compensated, and always well taken care of throughout our stay. Not only that, but they are incredibly easy to work with in regards to booking and are very open minded in regards to the kinds of performances that they allow. Lots of fun, as someone who was really close to the stage. It got pretty humid in there, even in April (my loose-fitting jeans felt a little damp all over). Honestly, that's kind of part of the small concert experience, tho! You get to interact with the artists a lot more, which is a plus. Don't ever forget earplugs when you go to a concert!! They sell them for $1 at the venue entrance when you show your ticket.
