I am giving it 4 stars because everything was great except the customer service from Kyrsten at the front desk. We asked for add ons as we were shown the price and what each add on was, we said we did want it had seen the price cause they have them there and she still proceeded to ask if we were sure we still wanted to add because it was $50. As if we couldn’t afford it. Definitely did not like that. Then Did not offer us water at first as we’re walking towards inside she remembers and asks, goes back to get the water. We get our facials done by Carmen which she was great, explained the products she was using. We loved our facial. My friend and I were in the relaxation room waiting for our complimentary champagne and macaroon trays but Kyrsten never came to check up on us see if we wanted anything, nor did she come to offer us the complimentary champagne or Macaroons after our service which is automatic. After 30-40 min of our services the wonderful esthetician Carmen happened to pass by and noticed we hadn’t been offered any of the complimentary champagne or macaroons so she went herself to get it for us. She brought back our champagne and one of the macaroon trays stated they were out but chef was making more and Kyrsten would be bringing it, Kyrsten came and told us the same thing and left but never came back. Her excuse to me was that the chef was backed up and she was running around training someone, I understand all of that but at the least check in and let us know so we won’t be waiting. Once we were checking out getting ready to pay she mentions it when by this time we didn’t even care. We just felt like our experience could’ve been much better had Kyrsten done her job and not gave excuses. It sort of felt like we were being discriminated against by her because all the other people there who were white by the way were getting their extras and being treated very nicely. I can state without exaggeration that our recent couples massage at Eforea was among the most memorable spa experiences my husband and I have enjoyed in the past decade. And as national travel writers, we’ve enjoyed many—on cruise ships, health retreats, in hotels, etc. The gracious Eforea staff welcomed us to the couples massage treatment room, where we were met by our friendly and very professional massage therapists, Stephanie and ….. for a one-hour massage treatment. We both left the treatment room feeling as if the weight of the world was taken off our shoulders! I was suffering from neck pain that day (which is constant because of long hours in front of the computer). My husband summed up our experience with this statement: “this is perhaps one of my best experiences of a deep thorough manipulation by Stephanie, who with her powerful hands could not only provide a soothing massage, but also employ a few chiropractic techniques to alleviate muscle tension issues in my neck, shoulder and back area.” My therapist ----- did the same for me. She was able to pinpoint the tension in my neck and shoulders and used her professional skills to alleviate my pain (the result of carrying a heavy camera around my neck). The spa itself is beautifully designed and in addition to exceptional massage treatments, it offers a variety of other amenities (not to speak of a luxurious steam room and...

A lot of places want to upcharge for a couples massage, but that wasn’t the case here. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. It was a great add on to our weekend get away and we hope to do it again. Some notes: make reservations (duh), bring your own deodorant (they offer their own but you may prefer yours), make sure you have time surrounding your appointment (they have a sauna and pool access if you want to take advantage).

The robe I got was a bit “musty” smelling and I tried to avoid it. Luckily there were plenty of towels. If you have the option I’d recommend picking the longer massage.

Overall I plan to go again. This was a great treat to a getaway. Afterward we walked to Seaport Village and got nachos and a Margarita (highly recommend).

Staff was welcoming and the facility was clean.

Update: My wife and I returned to celebrate our 16th anniversary. Everyone here is still awesome and will be returning.
