If you have an issue, they will blame you and act like they're being nice, when really they don't care what you have to say.
As we waited a while to get seated, the lady who was suppose to greet us, did not. We said hi and greeted her, as she just looked at us. My mom told her we needed a table for three, plus my daughter and she replied, so you don't have a reservation? She brought us to the table did not smile, looked like she hated her job, and when my mom asked for a high chair, she completely ignored my mom.
As we were waiting for our order, my daughter started to get cranky and cry. My mom wanted to bring the food to our room because we felt like we were waiting too long and my daughter was getting hungry. So, my mom talked to the manager, Chrissy. As I was caring for my daughter, carrying her and walking her around, the manager, Chrissy, starts attacking me saying, "You guys placed your order at 7:12pm (points to her watch) that was 12/13 minutes ago. When did you place your order?"
I exchanged no words with Chrissy beforehand for her to come up to me and my daughter and start giving me an attitude about what time we placed our order. Let me mind you that I am wearing a bright red long sleeve, caring for my daughter, and my mom was wearing a dark green jacket (almost black).
Chrissy needs a refresher on deescalating guest issues, complaints and guest service. So does the lady who is suppose to greet incoming guests. If you guys hate your jobs, please re-evaluate your career, you work at a restaurant that deals with guest service.
I will point out that Chrissy did package the food and personally bring it to our room, after the whole predicament, but I don't believe she was genuinely caring of our requests and issues because she talked over us THE WHOLE TIME. Sure, she would be able to say, "I even personally brought them their food to their room," but she did so with an attitude, no apologies for our experience or service, and as my mom was saying sorry for everything, she did not acknowledge her and told her to write down our Hilton number for them to verify that she was a member.
The waiter, Art, who took our order was nice, he brought us a kid friendly water for my daughter and another waiter was nice to tell me my daughter was cute, even though she was cranky and crying. Those waiter would get 4 stars for guest service, they were very kind. Unfortunately, I could not catch everyone's name, but guest service definitely needs some work here.
The Bolognese and Cesar salad were plain to me, especially for the price &...
Read moreI would like to express my deep discontent and dissatisfaction with the restaurant. Hudson & Nash does not deserve the Hilton quality seal, and the hotel should not associate its name with an establishment that does not know how to serve its customers.
I stayed there from February 27 to March 3 while attending an international conference, and I have traveled to at least 17 countries, including Dubai. The restaurant consistently had a 30-minute wait time, and upon entering, it was evident that the place was empty. On one occasion, I sat at the counter, and when three friends called me over to the table where they had already ordered, I waited over 15 minutes to be attended to, menu in hand, calling and waving, while the staff ignored me and treated me as if I didn't exist.
When I questioned the hostess, she didn't care at all and even called security over, as if I was about to do something unlawful. I have never been so mistreated in a place that appears to be upscale. All the charm of the restaurant's beauty was lost due to the poor quality of service. Not even in Brazil is the service this bad; in fact, they should intern with us to learn how to treat customers properly. Even though I was sponsored to eat there, I chose to leave the hotel so I wouldn't have to subject myself to their service any longer. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. They don't want you there, they work out of obligation, and they take out their bad mood on guests...
Read moreMy wife and I are visiting from out of town and always enjoy trying new restaurants. We had dinner here last night shortly after our arrival and really enjoyed it, and decided to give their breakfast a try as well. It was Fantastic! We each ordered the two egg breakfast which comes with breakfast potatoes and choice of meats and toast. We were again very impressed with the freshness and quality of food, as well as the service, which is definitely not something one can take for granted these days. Angelo was our server and did a great job of taking care of us. I must add that I usually order my eggs country scrambled. Often when I order my eggs that way I get some very strange/odd looks. And I have even had servers tell me that they can't be done that way for various reasons, none of which usually makes any sense. BTW, country scrambled is just a mixture of egg whites and yolk by starting with frying and then scrambling before they are done, which definitely enhances the flavor. It takes no more time nor effort than just preparing regular scrambled eggs. Anyway, the point is that Angelo listened, discussed it with the chef, and made it happen. And the eggs were perfect. The orange juice was great as well. I guess if I had to offer one small criticism, the coffee is just mediocre. But this is true of many restaurants. The meals are maybe a little pricey, but a reasonably good value. Overall a couple of great dining experiences to...
