A while back, I was sending the gnar on a trail you’ve never heard of, when suddenly, my rad sled started goin’ giggidy-giggidy-clunk-schlap, giggidy-giggidy-clunk-schlap. This made it difficult to maintain the steez, so I popped up that dropper and pedaled over to Big Swingin’ Cycles faster than cheetah on meth. When I got there, I met a dude called Brian. He's the bike shop boss, and he's way cool. In fact, all the homies at BSC have been way cool. They don’t make me feel like a chump, even though people that work at bike shops are supposed to make you feel like a chump. I actually am a chump, but they STILL don’t make me feel like a chump. Anyway, they fixed up my ride real quick-like. I was so happy, I manual’d all the way to Lombard, and nose-bonked a Muni bus. You may have another bike shop that you like, but you should bail. I am 1,000% positive that the homies over at BSC are more enduro than the homies at your shop. These dudes prolly wear flannel on the trail, and their helmet visors ride high enough to park two pairs of goggles. So if you love your bike more than your granny, take it to Big Swingin’. You will get a fair deal without feeling like a chump. And if you’re finally ready to dump that 26 inch three-ringer, they will hook you up with a sweet Yeti or a Transition. All your friends will be like “ohhhh damnnnnnnn”, and you will get more girls, even if you are a girl. Oh, and if you’re a roadie, you are DEFINITELY a chump, so go to Big Swingin’. They can prolly help out...
Read moreThis review is a bit over due, but due none the less! I live in Colorado and bought a yeti beti for my girlfriend from the shop specifically working with the owner Brian. Brian did an excellent job packing the bike like no joke the best packing job I have ever seen and I work in a bike shop. The shipper dropped the box hard a few times, and as a result the fork that was at the bottom of the box was marred up by the chain ring. I let Brian know and the process of getting the problem sorted was started. I asked if we could get a 160mm fork instead of the standard 150mm that comes stock on the bike. Brian said no problem, but fox was sold out of the fork I needed at the time. Brian then took a fork that was a wall display and had his tech swap out the air spring to the 160 so that he could get it out to me in a timely manner. As some one who works in the industry I really recognize this shop as one that goes above and beyond what is the typical expectations of a high end shop....
Read moreBrian and the team at Big Swingin' are absolutely amazing. After having built up my first Moots up with them a few years ago, I recently built a Moots Routt 45 up for my wife with them, and the attention to detail, patience with configuration, communication re supply chain availability of parts, etc. were all way above what you would ever expect from a bike shop, absolutely blew me away. They stand by their bike size guarantee, so when the size I ordered for my wife wasn't perfect, they went above and beyond to source and move the build over to a new frame. She rode it for the first time today and its smiles for years. Couldn't recommend this shop and team more...
