Visited 5/5/25. Firstly, havenāt been in store for a while (I started using Kiehls almost 20 years ago!) Iāve hopped in and out of using the brand over the years and usually would pick something up from Sephora as opposed to going to the store when I felt I needed it in my routine. I knew what I wanted, midnight recovery and the brightening white birch cleanser, which I could have easily ordered online, however this day I wanted the experience of shopping at the store! Me and my friend were open to interact, talk about skincare, even be upsold and take more product home! All we found was an absolute lack of enthusiasm or desire to interact with us. It was just the two of us in the store, one associate was sticking labels on some gift packaging making themselves look busy, another trying to fix the register? The sales associate had absolutely no interest in interacting with us, Iām also assuming it was their manager/lead trying to fix the register that day, who also barely said hello or acknowledged us and instead complained about the machine being broken and was too distracted with that. I convinced my friend to buy some Midnight Recovery (essentially doing the sales associate job) and then I checked out, was asked about rewards, my account wasnāt there and I wasnāt even offered to sign back up again. My friend is new to the brand she asked if she wanted samples, she is a new customer to Kiehls, perfect! Get them into a skin consult, share your passion for the brand and skincare in general! Instead she made my friend feel like she bothered her even though she wasnāt asking for the samples! Even on the way out we were curious about the White Lotus collab gift set and I again talked more about the products than a single person in the store did that day. Ā Ā Ā Read morehad a great experience a couple days ago! ariane was super knowledgeable and patient with my questions, and did a full skincare routine with me despite it being nearly closing time. she shared her favorite products with me, but also took my unique issues into consideration when making recommendations. I ended up purchasing the eye recovery cream, and walked out with a bag full of samples too! camille was also great - super helpful, personable, and supportive of her colleague. 10/10 experience, can't wait to get my skin damage analysis next visit (scared....)....
