Lindsay is a miracle worker. My hair is exceptionally challenging, with several distinct textures, all of them wavy and fairly thick. And my many cowlicks create a crazy making mess when cut incorrectly. 99.9% of the stylists I've gone to over many decades aren't able to wrangle it to be anything but a frizzy mess, especially during our long rainy season.

With Lindsay's haircuts, my hair is beautiful -- it's smooth and completely carefree as I allow it to air dry, doing nothing to it other than brush it after it's dry. Her cuts hold up for several months -- something that's become especially important during the pandemic as I'm immune compromised.

I was going to someone else at the salon who is also very highly skilled but his formerly long lasting cuts were lasting only two months.

Thank you Lindsay for listening to me and giving me haircuts that are perfect in every way. I love my hair again!

Kenneth -- The brightest shining star of all, rising above the consistently exceptional talent here

After an agonizingly long search for the right stylist, I've finally landed in Hair Heaven now that I've found Antonio Salon. I've been to several stylists here and every one of them is 5-star fantastic. This is the rare salon where I would trust anyone to do right by my hair for style and color.

That said, discovering Kenneth has been a revelation. He is my shining star here. If I could give him 10 stars I would. I was very fortunate to happen to come in for a desperately needed bang trim after needing to cancel my regular appointment. Kenneth had just arrived in Seattle and was wisely snatched up by Antonio. The timing of my visit could not have been better. The first haircut was excellent, and I recently I returned for a second. My hair is challenging, with several distinct textures, all of them wavy and fairly thick. And my many cowlicks create a crazy making mess when cut incorrectly.

Kenneth cut my hair dry (a first for me) and was meticulous in evaluating the weight with every snip of his scissors. The result has been the most consistently beautiful style I've ever had, while remaining completely casual and easy to care for. I can blow dry it or leave it completely alone to dry on its own. It looked fantastic the day of the cut, and it continues to be phenomenal. There is usually a section or two of my hair that wants to create "wings" that I thought I was stuck with no matter how good the cut. But Kenneth's attention to weight and texture completely eliminated them.

The only change I would make is that Kenneth currently works only two days a week, which makes scheduling with him a little tricky for me. But now that I've been spoiled by his work, I will modify my schedule to accommodate his.

The environment is down to earth. There's no pretentiousness despite all the astounding talent this salon collectively has.

11/19/2019: The biggest test for major frizz came last week, with several days of 100% humidity, and when I got completely soaked in a drenching rain storm. Incredibly, NO FRIZZ at all. I let my hair dry naturally and it fell into place perfectly, looking like I had styled it. Incidentally, I don't use any products at all, just Loma shampoo and conditioner. I've lived with frizzy hair in Seattle's damp, soggy months since childhood. With Kenneth, I've discovered that the right cut is all I need to banish bad hair days for good.

7/15/2020: It was 4 months(!!) since Kenneth cut my hair because of the pandemic shutdown, and my hair was still beautiful -- to the point I was actually getting compliments on it. His cut completely held its shape. I decided to have him style it again but was actually on the fence for weeks as I considered letting it grown out. I am responding to Antonio's response to my initial low review. To be clear, I was very clear of what I wanted contrary to what you have stated. I brought in photos and spoke with Evan about my goal and we agreed, what I got in the end was not what the goal was. I subsequently returned to the salon and was assigned a different stylist (Lyndsey) and the goal was now to add more low lights so that the highlights Evan added would show up. Unfortunately, I then went the other way...a lot darker and any highlights were lost. I would think it would be understood that in order for highlights to show up, you need something darker at the root, not something equal to a highlight. I gave Evan two chances, but after having two bad experiences, I begin to question his abilities and that of the other stylist Lyndsey as I ended up just plain dark brown compared to with Evan plain light brown with no highlights in either case. Perhaps others are happy, I am just sharing my experience, which did not live up to my expectation of getting blonde highlights (something that doesn't seem to be rocket science). I spent a lot of money, lots time in the chair and money to feed the parking meter. I would think that the salon would do the right thing and speak to me directly rather than thru Google. I did email the salon for their response to me either thru email or my phone. After following Antonio Salon on Instagram for a period of time, I was able to identify a stylist whom I could trust with my hair. Who you ask? That would be Sophie Agbayani. I have naturally wavy/curly (2b, 2c, some 3a) hair that I have been chemically straightening for the past 7 years. With the pandemic, I let my natural curl come in, but this left me with hair that was curls at the top, straight at the bottom. In addition, I have a wide face(mix of round and square). This makes it difficult for me to identify which hair styles compliment and look good with my face structure. I went in to see Sophie and she asked insightful questions. We discussed my hair history, current routine, what I was looking for in a cut, and what my hair goals are. With this knowledge, she discussed how to proceed with the haircut and for it to work with my nuances. She nailed it! My hair cut is amazing! She was also insightful in regards to products. There was one particular product I had been thinking of buying online.
