Thank you, sister, Charlynn for inviting us to the Gold Star and Military Kids Day at Miners Landing if not I would have missed out on the most thick, foamy, chocolaty, and very flavorful hot chocolate I had ever tasted by far. One sip of it, it brought me back to my childhood and thought of my homeland, the Philippines. Most of the hot chocolate I've had from other coffee shops and restaurants can't compare to this one for now. This had its own taste; each sip taste the same as my last sip (still thick & frothy from start to finish) and did not have an after taste at all. This is a little gem; the room is not as big but it is very cozy but at least the ceiling are high om the 2nd room. At first, the set-up was a little bit weird but then I realized it makes sense. The 1st main room where you take your order had about 3-5 chairs and then the 2nd room had more table settings and there is where your hot food is cooked/ where you pick up your order. I think there might even be a 3rd room but I wasnât really paying attention. I forgot what my sister ordered but it was amazing as well. I ordered the Strawberry waffle for my daughter and she loved it. The waffle itself wasnât extraordinary unlike their hot chocolate, it was just average but the thing that I did like about the waffle though was how soft, and not too thick it was at the same time had little crunches at the edges. It was perfect for Kikay. Right now, the whole building is being renovated from the outside but donât let that discourage you from coming here. The staff were super nice especially the cashier, she was super friendly; she was very welcoming and was nice enough to make a quick conversation with us. I cannot wait until I go back here and have that hot chocolate again and try their pastries and tamales, yes tamales!!! Haha.. if ever I am around downtown area, you will see my ass there. Score: Hot chocolate: 10 Waffe: 7.5 My...
Read moreThere isn't many places that makes you feel so "seattle" than Moore Coffee Shop. I love everything about this place. The small, cozy, quaint feel to the big windows to watch people and cars passing on by. Extra nice when it's raining out as you can hear the pitter pattering of rain against the window. Combine that with the ambiance of the little kitchen cooking up some waffles and quesadillas and sandwiches, the sounds of the espresso machine heating up milk... it's a Seattlite coffee drinker's bliss.
I'm no avid coffee drinker, as I believe nothing substitutes good sleep. But I will drink it as a novelty. I enjoy sweet, flavorful coffee (hence my love for vietnamese coffee) and Moore Coffee Shop does not disappoint. A good size portion of coffee, with the right amount of sweetness, not over powering to the point that you can't taste your coffee any more - but just enough to mask the bitterness and bring out a nice smooth start to finish. And if it's not sweet enough they give you a little square of milk chocolate on the side as well! And to top it all off (literally), they make awesome designs with the foam! I'm talkin from dogs, to lions, bears, and bunnies, even hello kitty and tototoro!
I haven't had everything on the menu for the food side, but I've had a few sandwiches and they are all very light, simple yet delightful.
I thoroughly enjoy this place, every aspect of it and I will frequent it...

I ordered the Café Madrid and loved it. Made with sweetened condensed milk, it is creamy, rich, and on the sweeter side but not overpoweringly sweet. Just the perfect balance of bold espresso and smooth sweetness.
Then came the Monte Cristo waffle and wow, it was S O O O O good. This crisp, thin waffle brought together a savory sweet harmony with melted Swiss cheese, ham, and a hit of raspberry jam. Crunchy exterior with a melty interior made it an absolute brunch triumph.
The ambiance ties it all together. The dark green felt couches paired with hot pink and gold chairs create such a striking and vibrant vibe. And perched on the wall is a striking Frida portrait with an inspiring quote that makes the space feel personal, empowering, and full of life.
In short, Moore Coffee delivers on every level. From the expertly crafted Café Madrid and mouthwatering Monte Cristo waffle to the colorful décor, it is a must visit for anyone who wants delicious bites, a rich cultural atmosphere, and a welcoming Latina-led...
