DERMASPACE — Local services in Seattle

I wanted to give 5 stars but giving 3. I tried their foundational IDERM facial along with LED therapy. The first time I tried it, it was with Christopher and I had astounding results and the most beautiful, bright and glowy I have felt after a facial for an extended time ,close to two weeks. I had the facial in the evening and by night, my god I was glowing! I came with so many blackheads to the appointment, but Chris did such a wonderful job with the extractions. It was completely painless, and yet my nose was squeaky clean to the point of even my nose glowing. There was significant reduction with blackheads.

I wanted to replicate this experience and save the second IDERM facial for a friend's wedding, however I had no noticeable results after the second same exact facial, that I had two months later; which I was so looking forward to. Infact, there was no difference at all before and after. Even my extractions were so painful and yet no noticeable difference in the reduction of blackheads on my nose.

It would be good to know from dermaspace are the customers not to expect consistent results post the same facial? If so, the expectations should be set upfront before booking appointments so that the customers have the required knowledge. Or I am not sure if it was the change in the esthetician with the second facial or the esthetician's skill level that makes the difference? Then I would have gone the extra mile to book the same esthetician. Or was it simply a change in the intensity setting of the electric current used that made the difference which should be consistent as well to at least have the same results from last facial if not better. Not sure but severely disappointed with the results after second facial. I followed the same exact precautions after second facial that I did with my first facial.

I became a fan of dermaspace foundational IDERM facials after my first facial and even brought my partner to do IDERM foundational facial after my amazing first experience but even he did not notice any difference before and after the facial, though followed all precautions as advised post facial.

It is highly disappointing to know that you cannot expect consistent results with the facial and if not, the expectations should be set upfront before booking appointments or referring other people , since the people have the right to decide for themselves if they want to do the facial . It made me loose my face and my partners money since all he wanted was at least brighter skin for he was feeling dull but there was no difference.

I was also under a false impression to get the same results since I had saved this facial for my friends wedding. So quite disappointed.

If there was a way to replicate results and ensure consistency, this place is 5 star. Unfortunately a 3 for me for now.

EDIT: Giving a discount on a service does not mean compromise on quality in any way!! Specially when you are working on somebody's face! Customers are not meant to be treated like guinea pigs to train new employees!! Discounts are not meant for that! And if you are planning on using them as a training ground for new employees, please let them know in advance so they can decide...

I always wanted to try Dermaspace since I live in downtown and I found them on Yelp. My treatment was Revitapen-Iderm Facial Treatment. I am huge skincare fan and I have derma pen and darsonval at home and I use it on regular basis so for me Electrotheraphy isn't something new. It was more kind of experience to compare the results.

Treatment started from cleansing and exfoliation. Then she soaked my skin in a yucca root solution and left me for about 15 minutes alone in the room. Then she used derma pen and then she prepared everything for electrotherapy and left me for another 15 minutes. Personally to me 30 minutes out of 1 hour treatment (also minus changing time) seems too much. I have been in many spas in Europe and USA and i never experienced that. Also back gets very very wet on that mat that they put and leave you to lie down for 15 minutes. At some point melting serum on face was unpleasant and I really wanted her to come back sooner.

After treatment I remember when I went to register to pay after changing I discovered that I was very sticky she didn't washed my face and neck very well I guess since room is so dark and I was required to put my mask back on upon exiting. Its good that I went straight home after that because it looked very messy.

They recommend to do this treatment once a month for the consistency and better results but I have good skin overall I dont think this treatment is something different that I do at home. It was nice experience overall and if you have any skin concerns maybe I would recommend it but price-wise its also not cheap considering all this time alone and also tips and parking in downtown. (I am lucky I live few blocks away so I walk lol)

PS they still do require tests or vaccine which I find very strange since isn't mandatory anymore but some businesses do. Not sure about mask in the office. Also form for new clients was too much, some questions were too personal and I am not sure what it has to do with facial. it took me 30 minutes to...

I cannot say enough good things about DERMASPACE!!! Genuinely, I’m beyond grateful for Jody and his craft!!! Months ago, I was dealing with hyperpigmentation and mild stubborn acne… I was worried and frustrated because it was getting worse… I tried lots of different solutions, including other facials to clear the skin but nothing was working. Then, Dermaspace came to the rescue! Since my first appointment with Jody, everything stared to improve noticeably and rapidly! I have been getting the IDERM treatment which I love because it is pure magic! It is not your “normal” facial, it is way better!!! It is like a combination of going to the gym for your skin and deeply nurturing it. I have been pretty consistent with this treatment for months and the results are truly incredible. My skin has improved a LOOOOT (and this is an understatement). Also, something that I love is that I have been able to maintain the results by being constant with my visits and by regularly using the Dermaspace Clarifying Pads (my absolutely favorite skincare product). They offer different services and products, Jody knew what my skin needed, he is THE BEST! I have to mention that every time I’m there, I leave very happy! I love my appointments with Jody, I truly appreciate him and for me, it is a gift to have had the opportunity to know him and go through this with him. He is very knowledgeable, skilled, kind, loving, fun!!! I’m very thankful for how comfortable he has made me feel every time!
