When moving in here I naively thought that the AC problems mentioned in reviews from FOUR YEARS ago would have been resolved by now, but that was wrong. I've had a service request for my broken AC outstanding for 2 weeks now and don't expect it to be fixed anytime soon. This is during August too, when temperatures both outside + inside the apartment are reaching up to 90 degrees - there was a heat advisory recently! The building's front door has also been broken for over a month, anyone can currently walk into the building lobby. Apparently the garage door broke today too, so residents couldn't enter or exit with their cars?? Maintenance and building upkeep is obviously lacking at Sequel.
The leasing office seems to be a revolving door, there's a new person there like every week. I don't recognize any of the current staff and I moved here a few months ago. Just look at the names of building managers mentioned in these reviews, they're all different people!
Sequel also forces residents to use Fetch Package for all package deliveries. As someone used to shop online quite a bit, I have stopped almost completely because of the horrendous service Fetch provides. Fetch is a 'virtual PO box' service that requires residents to send all packages to a specified address in their city, often a decent drive from your actual apartment building (Fetch's Seattle building is 15min away from Sequel). Then after Fetch receives the package, users select a 2 hour time window for their package to be delivered, and Fetch delivers it to your door. Sequel touts Fetch as a great amenity that will get you your packages sooner than if you didn't use it. That was a complete lie! Packages consistently arrive days later than at my old apartment because Fetch scans the packages into their system hours after they are received at the Fetch facility, and they are often unable to deliver for days.
On top of that, all residents are forced to pay ~300/yr for this subpar service that was never needed in the first place and causes packages to be unnecessarily delayed. This fee is built into your lease too, so you're out of luck if you want to stop paying for Fetch because you're unhappy with their service. Package lockers are much more convenient for residents, but the resident experience clearly isn't a priority here at Sequel.
Why pay for express shipping options like Amazon prime if Fetch takes days to deliver the package after they receive it? I STRONGLY encourage any potential Sequel residents to look up reviews for Fetch on BBB, Yelp, and Google reviews, and then think long and hard about if that is worth dealing with for every single package you want to receive while you live here. In my experience, Fetch has been an absolute disaster and has resulted in the worst package receiving experience of any building I have ever lived in.
I can't recommend this building to anyone, my next apartment will not be owned by Greystar and it will not force Fetch upon...
Read moreLorena was pleasant to work with and helped me make an informed decision. I’m moving from across the country and I know very little about Seattle so I needed to do a ton of research. I’ll admit that I didn’t see much value between many of the lovely living options in downtown and Google did very little to paint a pleasant image of the overall situation as well.
Lorena gave me the confidence I needed to have an open mind, and behold— the perfect unit presented itself! I live at the edge of a California desert surrounded by lovely mountains and would only trade this view for something I felt could inspire me in the same way when looking outside my window. Lorena helped me achieve that purpose and now I’m a city boy.
2025 Edit: The customer service is absolutely amazing. Any issues with my unit and the front desk is always ready to serve our needs. Baleigh is a delight to have on hand for any questions and always responds immediately to any queries or concerns. Joel is a fantastic maintenance tech and has been instrumental in keeping my business here at Sequel as well. I’ll be sure to refer this place to my friends and family who often ask how I lucked out in finding it. Then I remind them...
Read moreWarning: Do not move into this apartment! My boyfriend and I moved into apartment 306, and while it was quite nice initially, our experience took a turn for the worse after two months when our neighbors moved in. Their dog began barking incessantly whenever they left. In an effort to resolve the issue, we left a polite note suggesting ways to work together to minimize the noise. Unfortunately, they reacted violently, yelling and banging on the walls, claiming it was their right to make noise. This hostility lasted about a week.
To make matters worse, these neighbors have also been shouting racial slurs out of their window. As a Black woman, this situation is incredibly distressing, especially knowing that gun violence is a concern in Seattle. I reported this incident to Caleb, but he did nothing to address the problem.
In general, if you ever need assistance, Caleb is rarely available, and even when he is, he fails to resolve issues effectively. I strongly advise against...
