Gondola Vista — Local services in South Lake Tahoe

Title: “Unresponsive Management and an Uncomfortable Stay”

Our experience at this rental was frustrating and disappointing. Despite requesting a Pack ’n Play in advance, it was not provided until after our first night—only after we had to reach out and ask again. This was an unnecessary inconvenience, especially when traveling with a small child.

The master bedroom was equally disappointing. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, with noticeable indentations that caused us to roll into pre-formed “holes,” and the springs could be felt through the surface. Getting a restful night’s sleep was nearly impossible. The situation worsened when, at midnight, the smoke detector in the master bedroom started beeping due to a low battery. With no way to silence it, our family of four had no choice but to cram into a queen-size bed for the rest of the night, making an already uncomfortable stay even worse.

The other three bedrooms, located downstairs, had severe temperature control issues. The rooms were either unbearably cold or excessively hot, with no middle ground, making it difficult to get comfortable.

Perhaps the most frustrating part was the complete lack of response from management. Despite multiple messages and waiting several days, we received no acknowledgment of our issue. Their lack of communication and disregard for guest comfort was unacceptable.

Overall, this stay was far from what was promised, and the lack of basic upkeep and customer service made it clear that guest experience is not a priority. I would not recommend...

We stayed in the 4-bedroom townhouse for a group ski trip. Bottom line: beautiful, spacious unit with very high-end finishes. I'd stay here again in a second! The kitchen is gorgeous and well-equipped. That said, there's a few things to note- the owners provide very minimal supplies. You get exactly three laundry pods, and no dryer sheets. Zero dishwashing pods. One extra roll of TP per bathroom. No extra blankets in the entire unit. No kitchen consumables, not even salt & pepper. Even when asked, the managers brought only a couple of dishwasher pods and one extra blanket. The driveway wasn't plowed and was a little dicey for us, even with 4 wheel drive. The hot tub is tiny - 3 people max in a condo that holds eight. Even with those various issues (that could easily be addressed by management) it was a fantastic stay and I would definitely...

We recently stayed at Gondola Vista for 3 nights, and it was an absolutely delightful experience, was incredibly welcoming and responsive from the moment I booked. Check-in was a breeze, and the luxurious home was exactly as described—spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The location was perfect, close to Heavenly village and restaurants, making it easy to explore the city. I especially loved the balcony, view and kitchen, which made our mornings even better.

What stood out the most was the bedrooms and the bathrooms. I felt right at home and appreciated how peaceful and quiet the area was despite being so central.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting South Lake Tahoe, and I’m definitely looking forward to...
