Right now we are going to give it 4 stars because we need to see how well the store functions after it has been running during a tourist season. Currently, it appears to be a five-star situation. Let me tell you why I think this. The store is a full-on Target. It isn't a miniaturized version, because it is in Tahoe. It has all the sections one would expect from a Target in a major city. There is a pharmacy and a Starbucks inside, each of which should well serve those in the commumity that need routine medication. The grocery section is well-stocked. It will compete with Safeway in Stateline, and the one down 50. Alcohol is sold there at high-variety, which should serve the visiting and established consumers. Employees were helpful and kind. I am concerned that this could be a "honeymoon effect" and monitoring this is an aspect of future re-rating as mentioned above. All of the lanes were available to check-out. There is also the option for self-checkout. I wonder how long that will last when confronted with a tourist season. I expect there will be deliberation at the corporate and management levels on that eventually.
Overall, the community kind of needed a Target or Target-like store. It will serve many needs. I expect it to be a "madhouse" during tourist seasons, but we will see how they manage.
Good work,...

So I'll preface by saying having anything that saves locals a trip to Carson, is great. However, since they chose to put it in the old Stateline Raleys location instead of the old KMart at the Y location, it's a fairly small Target and pretty limited. Came in for a simple dress shirt and maybe some shoes. Dress shirts are extremely limited, as is men's clothing in general. There are no men's shoes at all. There's an entire section for women's shoes, but not even flip flops or sneakers for men. I also overheard several people asking for items and hearing the staff say they didn't have them, such as individual bottled water, men's blazers, and some type of common cereal. It's not the end of the world, and it's great to be able to get an HDMI cable or pillow or whatever without having to go to Carson or getting whatever leftover knock off thing they have on the shelves at TJ or Ross. But, again, it's...

I made a mistake with a purchase and Brandon went above and beyond to make it right. You don’t see customer service like this too much these days. You can tell he really cares about his job position....
