See's Candies — Local services in Temecula

I haven't been into See's Candies in a while. I stopped by to pick up a gift for a friend we're about ready to meet for dinner. I was struggling with some of the packaged candies and asked what kinds they were. A young man at the counter said they were dark chocolate. I told him that I knew they were dark chocolate but are they variety are they assortment is there something specific, and he just said they were dark chocolate. I asked again and he insisted on his answer. Seeing the conversation going nowhere I went back over and try to figure it out myself. Then this young lady came up to me and asked if I needed help. I asked her about the dark chocolate and she explained everything to me. She helped me assemble what I needed and very short time got me through the lines to the checkout and was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Quite frankly,Skye saved the day. Already late, I was about ready to give it up and get back in the car and head to San diego. But not only did she assist me, I ended up getting gifts for somebody else as well as had a pleasant experience in good conversation. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! ❤️

This month Cathie’s scrapbook led us to See’s Candies and Valentine’s Day seemed like the perfect occasion to visit. I was curious to see if the shelves had been cleared out, but was impressed that there was plenty of product remaining.

The See’s family opened their first shop in 1921 and in their early years they actually delivered their chocolates around town by motorcycle. 🛵

Although you might not be surprised that they produce more than 26 million pounds of candy every year, perhaps you didn’t know that they also hand out more than 1 million pounds of free samples in their stores each year.

Many things have changed in this world in the 100+ years that See’s has been around, but the quality of their products never seems to.

My daughter & I stopped by for just a sample....as usual when we make these occasional stops we came out w a small box (1/2lb) of different, delicious Sees Candy. The lady was very generous w sharing samples which hooked us into adding more...our little bag turned into a little box! Great customer service! Warmly greeted & welcomed as we stepped inside the store, love this! Thanks to my father, I'm a "Sees Candy Lover for Life." 😉 Some of our favorites- Summer Time, Dark Mallow Caramel, Key Lime white chocolate truffle, Dark chocolate Lemon truffle, Milk Chocolate California Brittle, Peanutbutter Patties, Almond covered Toffettes, Milk Chocolate Molasses Chips, Bear Paws, Milk & Dark chocolate covered caramels....phew. We only do Sees candy once, maybe twice a year!...
