Unfortunately after some months of a great experience with lululemon I have to depart my relationship. I promised myself not to allow any retail store to treat me any kind of way when as a customer I am the reason that a retail store is successful! Below is my review provided to a survey that lululemon sent yesterday. Iām thinking what good timingā¦first survey Iāve received since shopping with lululemon andddddd the day after I had a bad experience. Hereās my review from the 11/8/21 lululemon survey:
Had a rather bad experience at the register when checking out which was a shame because Scott (one of the retail representatives) was very helpful when helping me pick out several menswear outfits for my son-in-law. When checking out, the retail rep was scrambled and sent mixed signals regarding the military discount. She first told me that I needed an ID which I didnāt have on me, but had this documented in the system which now I learned was wiped clean. I had a return which my husband and I purchased back on the 20th which shows the 25% discount and proves we are military. She stated she couldnāt give me the 15% without an ID, when Iāve spent thousands with lululemon in a course of a few months. After saying she couldnāt give me the discount, I said no problem, Weāll bring ID so we can get a price adjustment. After several minutes of her stressing about the ID, she stated Iāll give you the 15% this one time, but you will need to have your ID next time. I thought to myself there wonāt be a next time. That was an exhausting experience. I was ok with getting a price adjustment when I brought in ID. Itās the strange communication that this retail representative expelled with being agitated with me, in my mind, for no reason because I was perfectly fine with paying the full $700+ and coming back if I had time for the adjustment with an ID. Then after being agitated she gave the discount. This experience was strange enough that Iāve removed the lululemon app from my phone, and also told my friends/family to avoid lululemon. It is important to know who your customers are, and they (the customers) are YOUR success story. Folks that work in your Tysons, VA store clearly donāt understand, or align to understanding that retail is all about the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife was excited as we walked by "Oh, look a Lululemon's!!!". I walked in with my wife and daughter, as we were browsing through the store one of the employee's was following us and looking at us as if she did not want us in the store. The hatred in her eyes was apparent she did not want us there. She never asked us for help, she just stared at us for at least 3 minutes at a time. As we finished shopping my wife and daughter were at the register ready to checkout. There were 3 employee's standing behind the register talking, right in front of my wife and daughter. The lady that was staring at her was standing at the end still looking at her with disgust. No one once asked to help her or check her out. I walked up and quickly one of the employeeās walked over from right in front of my wife to me and ask "May I help you?" while the others all left. I pointed at my wife and at that time she walked over to my wife and checked her out. Without saying a word. This made my wife feel very uncomfortable. EVERYTHING, from the weird lady watching her every move to the 3 ladies that would not help her at all while she stood there to checkout. I told her to leave without purchasing anything. She was in such shock she froze and still made the purchase. We will NEVER spend our money in that particular store again. It is a shame that in 2015 we still have this hatred for other races. I mean I would think the owner would like any race as long as they were spending money? Moral of the story is if you are a black person shopping at this store you are not wanted at that particular store. They were rude and made it very clear who they want to serve in this store. We will be purchasing our yoga products from other stores from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is probably one of the most hostile Lululemon stores that Iāve ever been to. There are SOME nice employees that always go out of their way to make your shopping experience SOMEWHAT enjoyable, but recently over the past few months the customer service at the checkout has always been SO disappointing and rude. I would rather just return my items online at this point to see if the embarrassment of being questioned and followed every time for zero reason. Nobody at check out EVER knows how to process a return. They ask for 1 million emails and 1 million paper documents, but somehow still never know how to process it without calling a manager. Returning just a couple items from a couple orders often turns into a whole 20 minute ordeal where they ask for proof and follow you around the store afterwards. I felt very uncomfortable today as I was making a return. I was being followed around after making the return, EVEN though I provided ALL the proper documents (3 different email receipts AND order slip). Maybe itās the seasonal employees due to the holiday season, but I felt extremely embarrassed and disappointed. As a longtime customer of this store, I expected MUCH much better. Ever since they switched locations in the mall, customer service has GREATLY plummeted. Save your time and go elsewhere, the Athleta nearby is much...
