Madewell — Local services in Tysons

The biggest shoutout to Terrance (I hope I spelled it correctly)!! I’ve always HATED jeans shopping because I’m athletic build, but also curvy, tall, but also regular/avg height. I usually got waist gapping or thigh rolls with jeans in the past.

Anyway, I’ve found peace with Madewell brand jeans because they have a little something for everyone, and they offer hemming services.

Terrance provided the best customer service though, and he was very knowledgeable about the different styles and their details. I appreciated his help so much. I had such a great experience at Madewell this past weekend thanks to their associate Skylar. After having a baby it has been really tough to find jeans that make me feel good. Most of the other stores I went into recently left me feeling discouraged and sad, but Skylar completely turned that around.

I feel like she really took the time to listen and helped me find the perfect pair of jeans for my body. She was not just trying to sell me something to make her quota. She genuinely cared about making sure I was comfortable and confident. For the first time in a long time I left a store feeling good about myself and how I looked.

This rating is for the Madewell Online store, which I can't rate on Google unfortunately. I made an online order with a birthday coupon, but after waiting 5 weeks, I received the wrong items. The items I wanted to order were out of stock and I was only offered a refund or honoring the discounted price on those items if they were in stock. For the items I did receive, Madewell wanted me to pay for them or drive to UPS/USPS to return them. How convenient for Madewell. I wouldn't mind this so much if I didn't have to go out of my way to fix someone else's mistake. Perhaps Madewell should give their associates more leeway to remedy these kinds...
