Nicky and his store are truly one of a kind. I’ve been around the country, especially New York and Los Angeles, and I’ve never experienced a store like his. Niccolo is kind, generous, and attentively cares for each of his customers. He takes care of both of my parents, as well as my girlfriend.

The Italian brands he carries in his store are impossible to obtain/purchase in the United States. His selection consists of a high quantity and inventory of some of the most desirable, smaller brands from Rome, Milan, and Florence. The brands, given their fine quality and small production, can be seen as a step above Loro Piana and Cuccinelli justifying the price tags you see in the store.

Because he’s been around for 30-40 years and is native Italian, Nicky has friendships and relationships with the owners of these brands which is why they are carried solely in his store when in comes to US distribution. Wether it’s Dorme cotton or stretch cashmere, he has or can make you practically any suit or jacket from Italy through his Bespoke process. The second floor of Niccolo has some of the finest italian brands for women in the world.

Ironically going to Bergdorf’s in New York or stores in Palm Beach or Los Angeles, the finest clothing store ended up being close to home. For someone who truly desires the finest quality Italian clothing in the country and is not focused on sales, mark offs, or price tags, this is the store for you; There’s truly nothing like it unless one were to go to Milan and actually find the stores themselves. Once you go to Niccolo in Georgetown, you become addicted to everything in the store and everything outside the store immediately becomes a step down when compared to the desirable Italian brands he carries with the best quality in the world. After living in DC for a few years, I've found myself always coming back to Niccolo. He's simply the best. Every time I've gone, it's been the highest quality stuff and he usually has some good deals and discounts on a few select items as well. My personal professional style is somewhere between traditional italian tailoring and more modern cuts. He gets that and helps me every step of the way, showing me fabrics and pointing out which suits are on sale and in my budget. In terms of tailoring, it's top notch. Also, he helps me express what kind of cuts I want (usually tapered pants, slim-ish jacket, but still comfortable and room to move), and he helps bring my ideas to life while also providing excellent tailoring recommendations based on his years of experience and italian sensibilities. This is NOT suitsupply or indochino, where they may have very trendy suits, but of greatly varying quality and they always tailor aggressively tight. At the same time, Nicky definitely has a more keen and modern sense of style than other suiting outfits in the area and will tailor appropriately form fitting - if that's what you're looking for. 10/10 would...

The best place anywhere for real and exceptional fine Italian clothing. While most of the other “high line” apparel stores have gone to Chinese imports, Nicolo stays true to its course of a “Made in Italy” tradition.
