My parents took my mothers phone into the Weatherford, Tx location to have the screen repaired. Phone itself was working fine other than the battery would run down pretty fast and she had some cracks in the screen. Other than that the phone operated flawlessly. No problems with touch screen at all. They replaced her screen and battery, had her check immediately if it would power on, which it did. They went straight home that evening, charged it and went to bed. When she woke up the next morning and went to look at her phone the phone would not respond to her password. Turns out the top half of the digitizer quit working. She and I took it back over to Weatherford, because it obviously is under warranty, to have them replace it. The long haired guy took her phone to the back and then came back out and said that he can't warranty it because the phone had water in it. He proceeded to show us and low and behold, a perfectly round little bubble of water sat right on top of this little raised metal piece. Yes, I said a perfectly round "bubble" of water. Strange right? It was just amazing how this little round bubble of water was able to stay in it's form after being "supposedly" closed up in this phone. Really, you think because my mother is deaf that she is "dumb" as well?? Pathetic! SMH. Good try on trying to cover your butt. Needless to say he would not warranty it due to his "claim." This phone had been no where near water in the less than 24 hrs from the time he "repaired" it to the time we took it back. NO WHERE NEAR WATER! He literally ruined an $800 phone to try to cover his butt. The reason I say "cover his butt" is because we got a "second opinion" on what was REALLY going on with the phone. Come to find out, when he went to replace the screen he tore the small strip that hooks up to the digitizer screen. Hence, why only half of the touch screen would work since part of the strip was still in tact. Absolutely appalled that a business would deceive it's customers in such a way. Will never be back!......By the way, I had them repair my daughters screen a few months ago and she has been having issues already. I thought it was something she had done, but she swears she hasn't dropped it or anything. Now I feel bad for thinking she did something to it knowing what we know...
Read moreUpdate for service on 9/9/24: After calling the 800# left on the Google review response, I am happy to say Batteries Plus went above and beyond to repair my phone. I have not experienced any drop calls from my cellular signal or wifi calling, and the lint was removed from the camera lenses.
Service on 7/9/24 & 7/31/24 I do not like writing bad reviews, I consider myself a patience person and understand human errors happen. But after the response I got from your employee, I am extremely disappointed and disgusted and concerned who else this company has taken advantage of. I originally brought my phone in for a screen repair. After the screen was repaired, I experienced drop calls frequently even on wifi calling. I called my phone provider, replaced Sims card, and made sure my phone was updated. The replacement Sims card did not resolve the issue and my phone provider said the screen replacement must have caused the issue. I brought my phone back to Batteries Plus Bulbs and they found and did admit they nicked an antenna wire while replacing my screen and had to order a replacement ribbon for damaging my phone. The replacement arrived quickly and the ribbon was replaced and the man said the phone was working properly now. After having my phone for maybe 5 minutes, I started dropping calls again and no signal. I called the office to let the man know about it and he flat out said he replaced the ribbon and there is nothing else they can do. The replacement screen also made a sticky noise, and it still does, but now in a different spot and I have white lint in two of my five camera lenses. In my opinion, the antenna should have been completely replaced since one piece replaced on the antenna did not fix my signal issues. The phone was repaired much quicker than the man estimated, he must have damaged more of the antenna since he repaired the nick your company caused. The drop calls/no signal do not happen as often like the nicked wire experience. Now I am making payments on a phone that's unreliable garbage just because an employee will not own up to their mistake and take this as a learning experience. Please teach your employees that anyone can make a mistake and admitting to their mistake is part of the learning experience. Lying and taking advantage of others...
Read moreIf you are considering this location for the purchase of your next car or truck battery you might just as well take a baseball bat to head as you will soon discover that is the treatment soon to be realized from this location and its employees when dealing with any warranty claims.
Me and my wife had one of the WORST experiences today when dealing with what we now believe is a faulty battery.
The back story is a month prior we stopped at Batteries Plus with a concern that when starting the truck 1st thing in the morning there seemed to be a pretty strong draw down when starting the truck, so much the concern that we live about an hour from that location. The person (we believe to be the manager of the store) tested the battery. When testing the battery, he did notice that it appeared to have about 70% life left but in his opinion not enough to take any further action but for us to keep an eye on it. He did further elaborate that if the problem continued to come back, he would make it right and replace the battery.
Yesterday the truck nearly failed to start and remember what the guy from Batteries Plus said last month, we felt today was a good day to finally resolve the issue with the battery after all the battery has a 4 year warranty that we were 18 months in on.
Today when we stopped in it was like a scene out of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Obviously, the person who we spoke with last month wasn’t there but what was in place was two of the MOST unprofessional absolutely worst employees to encounter. At one point both me and my wife began filming the encounter with the intent to protect ourselves and to hold as evidence to in the matter of how poorly Batteries Plus of Weatherford performed.
We have now decided not to hassle with this 3rd rate company anymore and buy a new battery from a company that knows how to take care of their customers. It is pretty clear Batteries Plus does not honor their warranty and you're only wasting your time if you deal with...
