Walk in to take a picture then leave. This is a Mona Lisa- pretty out front but empty on the inside. I cannot believe how terrible this restaurant is given the pricing and location. The decor is delightful and it’s a really beautiful patio space. Big points for the design team. The food is mediocre at best. Most importantly, the service was some of the worst I’ve ever experienced, and I dine out often, especially in West Hollywood, given that I don’t know how to cook. We were a large group on a Wednesday evening when the restaurant was not full. We waited an exorbitant amount of time for EVERYTHING. White wine was dropped on the table next to a warming lamp (had to ask 3x to receive an ice bucket), steaks were served cold, flatware was not replaced for every person between courses, drinks and food came sporadically and haphazardly. Our poor waiter was nice but clearly incredibly understaffed. After a C+ dining experience at best (which is generous and given only because of the nice decor and my wonderful company), we were presented a bill and when my credit card rang thru, the charge was almost 2x the price of the bill. There was no one in sight to be found (seemed they were closing and we’d been abandoned, much like we’ve been all evening), so I had to go track someone down. Only then did they realize they’d given us the wrong check. Truly never experienced anything so sloppy and ridiculous. Will definitely never go back. Used to love Ago- so disappointing that this gem of a...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Chez Mia, and I must say, it was an unforgettable culinary experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, setting the stage for a memorable meal.
To start, I indulged in the fresh oysters. Each oyster was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality and freshness. They were briny and smooth, with a clean finish that left me wanting more. It's clear that they prioritize sourcing the best seafood, as these oysters tasted like they had just been pulled from the ocean.
Next, I had the grilled octopus, and it was a standout dish. Cooked to perfection, the octopus was tender with a delightful char that added depth to every bite. The seasoning was spot on, allowing the natural flavors of the octopus to shine through. It was a dish that not only satisfied my palate but also showcased the chef’s skillful preparation.
Finally, I savored the NY steak, which was nothing short of spectacular. Cooked exactly as requested, the steak was juicy and flavorful, with a beautiful sear on the outside. Each bite was bursting with flavor, making it clear that high-quality cuts of meat are a priority at Chez Mia.
Overall, my dining experience at Chez Mia was delightful. The freshness of the ingredients and the artistry of the dishes are commendable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful meal. I can’t wait to return and explore more...
Read moreI did not have a good experience here. I do really hate to write negative reviews, yet I fear this experience warranted it. I really wanted to like this place, but the service was shockingly bad, and it sadly seemed they didn’t really care at all about their perception. There was barely anyone eating there on a Friday night in such a large space, yet we waited 10 minutes to be seated from a reservation. They we begged for a waiter to come to our table over and over again. We waited at least 20 minutes to even get service, then order each course. The food was so disappointing compared to the ridiculously large amount of money we spent. The waiter was very nice and I don’t blame him, but the restaurant was so unorganized and we felt like we wasted so much time and money. I am so willing to spend money on a great restaurant, but this was so far from it. And we didn’t even order main courses yet spent 100 dollars each on 3 appetizers and 1 drink each. I do not recommend - you are better off...
