Soho Home Melrose has been a consistently disappointing retail experience. Despite spending around $30k with Soho Home in the past month, I always feel unwelcome when visiting the store. The staff seem disengaged, and their assistance feels reluctant. For example, when placing a large order last month, I spoke to Felix about the delivery timeline via email. Unfortunately, he couldn’t provide any more information than what I could already see online. He offered to keep me updated as and when the items were available for dispatch, to which I responded would be greatly appreciated, but I never heard back. Today, when I called to request a swatch for a rug I’m considering, I was placed on hold and then abruptly disconnected. I wanted to order a bar cart for a client with them. A lady by the name of Romana answered the phone, asked me for the SKU and told me that with my trade discount for this item would be an additional 20% off. We discussed the trade discount in length after putting me on hold and calling me back and emailing me. I went over number with her, saying out loud the price breakdown which she agreed to. We discussed the difference between the member pricing and the trade pricing.
