Just discovered Mareeās, which I understand has been in West End for about 40 years! It opens at 5am. I got there at 6am on a Friday and they were busy serving a steady stream of tradies and early risers. They have plenty of easy takeaway options in the counter (hot & cold, pies, pastries wraps, rolls, sandwich bar), plus a made to order menu, including all day breakfast.
I sat in their courtyard and had the $12 omelette (choose from 3 fillings - I got mushroom, spinach, cheese). It came with buttered white toast (fine for the price) and my coffee was free - any breakfast comes with a free coffee. Gotta love that. Had a flat white and it was tasty - no complaints at all. The omelette was fresh and fluffy, not greasy - very yummy and balanced. Generous fillings, veg nice and fresh.

Prices were a little higher than I expected but I guess it's due to location. I ordered 2 chicken bacon burgers which I thought had egg too written on the sign but must have been mistaken. Then go to eat it & the chicken schnitzel has been cut in half down the middle so it was skinny & only half the chicken. The bread roll tasted stale too. I attempted interacting with the lady behind the counter but was ignored so maybe have a little better customer service & when you charge $7 for a chicken & bacon burger, maybe don't cut the chicken in half. Also sauce would have given flavour as the bun was dry with...
