I recently went to Oakberry Coolangatta with my friends hoping to enjoy a refreshing acai bowl and have a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, we were met with the most rude and unprofessional staff I have ever encountered.

From the moment we walked in, the staff made it abundantly clear that they did not care about providing good customer service. They had an arrogant and dismissive attitude, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers.

Not only did they fail to greet us or acknowledge our presence, but they also made snide remarks when we asked questions about the menu. It felt like they were purposely trying to make us feel ignorant for not knowing every single detail about their offerings.

Furthermore, when we placed our orders, the staff members proceeded to roll their eyes and sigh as if our choices were a burden to them. It was completely uncalled for and disrespectful.

I ordered 4 bowls and I said excuse me 6 times to get a cup tray and they ignored me the girl was only centimetres away from me, To make matters worse, our bowls arrived with incorrect toppings and were sloppily prepared. When we politely pointed out their mistakes, they were not apologetic or willing to rectify the situation, Their response was dismissive and condescending, which only escalated the unpleasant experience.

I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but there is no excuse for such consistently rude and disrespectful behaviour towards customers. Oak berry Coolangatta should prioritize training their staff in basic customer service skills and professionalism.

I strongly discourage anyone from dining at Oak berry Coolangatta if they expect even a sliver of respect and friendliness from the staff. Save your money and go somewhere where you'll be treated with dignity. This establishment is a disgrace to the customer...

Usually I love oakberry. It’s the best acai chain on the Gold Coast but the service of the young blonde girl working Sat afternoon 30/08/25 was appalling. I came in at 4:40pm (website says open till 5pm). I walked in and walked directly past the girl while she was wiping tables. I then stood at the counter politely waiting for her to finish cleaning the tables for a few mins. Then I tried to put my order in through the self serve machine. It came up with an error msg so I then I finally politely asked the girl ā€œis there something wrong with the order machine?ā€ She replied very abruptly with ā€œwe’re closedā€. I then asked ā€œaren’t you open until 5pm. She rudely said she was closing early to which I replied ā€œwell why couldn’t you tell me that? I’ve been at the counter for 5 mins at this point and you have eyes!ā€ She looked at me 3-4 times. Why not come tell me you shut early? Instead of just leaving me standing there. I mean what the hell did you think I was waiting for? I just don’t understand entitled young...

They get a high score mostly just because nowhere else is open later than mid afternoon, so the only option at 6pm. The staff were a little bit all over the place, I ordered two bowls and they got really confused and said they lost my name so I waited a while and saw heaps of others get theirs in the time between me ordering. Not the end of the world, but I heard the staff member say it’s the second time that happened that day. They were young and I’m sure missing staff due to covid, so not the end of the world. I like the customisation options of oak berry, the consistency of the acai is always too runny though at any location I’ve been to. Flavours were still good and I enjoyed, but they are also a pricier option once you add add ons that aren’t included. Also I prefer a bowl to a cup, but definitely worth trying at least once for the...

I just thought my experiences here at Coolangatta needed to be shared . I’ve become a regular at Oakberry Coolangatta it’s habitual and a delightful way to start my day . I’m greeted by friendly and professional staff , Fernada especially is professional , friendly and makes a delightful and perfect coffee. Fernadas excellence is mirrored by other staff members Loretta and Mariah both like Fernanda thoroughly delightful. The AƧai is delicious and view over Coolangatta adds to the brilliant experince . I highly recommend a visit .

I enjoyed my aƧai bowl at Oakberry AƧai, I was able to pick and choose what went in it, and they have a choice of sizes too. My only gripe is when dining in it still gets served in a plastic takeaway cup, the same with the coffee. I would have preferred an actual bowl and a real mug. However the food was tasty and fresh, and I would have no hesitation in coming back!
