Myself and another female friend arrived at the brewery via Uber at 6:00 for our best friends 21st, and when exiting the Uber we were kindly asked to put a can of EMPTY hard solo in the bin by the driver. Us being kind and respectful, we insisted and placed in it a bin 20m from the venues door, walking past the bouncers. We then queued up at the entry and they informed us that we weren’t allowed in because we were ‘street drinking’. Which by law is the consumption of alcohol. We then phoned the police who instructed us to go back and ask for management and take it further as it is now considered discrimination. the bouncer was adamant that what we did was their version of street drinking and ignored us when told them of the law. They refused us to speak to management and to check the cameras, the only thing they could say to us was that it is the spirit of the law and we were street drinking. Anyways rant over DO NOT go to northbridge brewery unless you are prepared to be heavily discriminated against by their poor management and awful security...
Read moreWe visited Northbridge Brewing Company recently and was really disappointed with the level of service. I waited quite a while to be served while two staff members stood chatting at the end of the bar. When one finally came over, I mentioned the wait time to be served at the bar, and instead of an apology, I got attitude and what felt like ego. When I asked to speak to the manager to avoid the bitter chat, she told me she was the manager, which honestly says a lot about how far hospitality has slipped diving to a dead end and resulting in my review today. To make things worse, my pizza, which I specifically ordered without olives came out covered in olives. It almost felt like a deliberate act after the earlier interaction. At that point, I asked for a refund, received it in cash, and went elsewhere. Unfortunately, this experience has put us off completely. We won’t be returning and certainly won’t be recommending this place to anyone. Hospitality makes or breaks a venue and here, it’s...
Read moreWent to a work Christmas function at this place today, the good points were that they had excellent craft beers and friendly staff. The bad points were that it was stinking hot and they only had two fans, one at each end of the bar, everywhere else was stifling. But most significantly the serving of the food was seriously miss-timed, there was a trickle of food coming out in dribs and drabs for the first 3 and a half hours, lots of hungry people wondering where the main food was, and then suddenly, at about 3:30, when about a third of the invitees had left and many of the other people where too drunk to eat, there was an avalanche of food that couldn't all be eaten by those still hanging around. Lots thrown out. This was supposed to be a lunch function.....turned out to be a very late lunch! To see so much food wasted because of the miss-timing of the serving of food was really frustrating, especially when there are so many hungry people out there! Room for...
