For the exact same set food for 2 people, the cost is $26 more than their city branch. Apparently they can't afford to have the same cost as they won't profit from it, but at least change up the dishes in the set or make a some form of disclaimer notifying customers? If the name of the restaurant is the same and the set menu is the same its hard to swallow such a steep price increase.
The waitstaff were also not attentive, providing us with only one set of chopsticks for two people and no spoon for our soup. We had to wait a considerable amount of time before they came to our table for the multiple times we had to ask for items. We were also provided paper cups to drink water from. What restaurant gives paper cups for a $40pp dinner?
One particular waitstaff tried to drop off a seafood pancake to our table, and when we said we didn't order it they told us "it came with the set". We told her to check again as we're sure it doesnt come with the set and she said she would check, then she returned and dropped it off at our table a second time around without saying anything. When we went to pay we were charged for the seafood pancake that was received and had to fight for it to be removed while that particular waitstaff feigned ignorance and pretended she didn't know we had asked her to check whether it came with the set or not...
In addition, the side dishes and the rice bowl was filled but in such small portions compared to the...
Read moreVisited Palsaik Korean with a group of 6 people. We were seated in an area at the back which was pretty good because it was more private than the main part of the restaurant. I thought the buzzer option is a good idea because it doesn't take long for staff to come by when the buzzer was pressed. As soon as I sat down I heard conversations from the table next to us and they were speaking Korean which was a good sign (personally I prefer an authentic experience and it was a nice relief to see Koreans there). We ordered a BBQ set A and Palsaik set. About 15 minutes into the meal we got an extra Wagyu chuck eye set. The marbling on the wagyu looks amazing and the presentation was pretty. Some of the meat were already marinated and tasted amazing, good quality and smelt delicious. We also got the chicken bites and they were very good, crunchy and succulent. The side dishes were plentiful and enough for 2-3 people. They had some corn and cheese dish where you leave it on the grill and that was a interesting surprise as I never had it before. I think if you have a group of people 5+ then you will really love this place. It can get quite smoky so best to wear clothes you don't mind...
Read moreI have always been a regular customer at Palsaik Northbridge, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing. The service was slow, the prices were too high, and the quality of the food was poor.
To make matters worse, we had finished cooking all our meat well before the rice arrived, leaving us with nothing to eat but side dishes. My group had to wait 50 minutes to receive our rice, which was frustrating and unacceptable.
When we finally received our food, we were disappointed by the quality. The meat was poorly marinated and the side dishes tasted stale.
I believe that the decline in quality can be attributed to a recent change in management. While I have always enjoyed dining at Palsaik Northbridge, my recent experience has left a sour taste in my mouth.
Additionally, I found the prices to be extremely high for the poor quality of food and service we received.
Overall, I would not recommend Palsaik Northbridge in its current state due to the poor service, bad quality food, high prices, and long wait times. I hope that the management can make the necessary changes to improve the dining experience for customers...
