Black Honey — Restaurant in Perth

I’ve lived in Perth for about 8 years and visited this place for the first time today. Having a few car issues so caught the train in and had a little time to grab a coffee before my next mode of transport so I went to the nearest coffee shop which happened to be here… boy I’m happy I did. I’ve worked in hospitality for 15 years and currently work as the general manager for one of the largest bars in Perth so I’m understanding of the fact that it’s the week before Christmas, they’re busy as hell and good staff are hard to find. Saying this, the service was amazingly quick (they were swamped too!), the staff were ridiculously polite (I wanted to steal them for my bar) and the coffee was up there with the best coffee I’ve had in Perth at a great price point considering it’s in the train station.

You’ll want to grab a coffee here and with a cult like following, you see why when you have a coffee. Easiest way to find them is go down the escalators from the Mall into the Station, at the bottom turn left before the turnstiles and it’s 10m on your right. Ok now that’s sorted, the coffee is sen-bloody-sational! You won’t be disappointed!! The toasties… I’m working my way through the whole menu and I’m impressed with everything! If you’re on a budget, you cant go past the $3 Ham & Cheese toastie!

Keto muffin was different to what I was expecting but it tasted so damn good. The mushroom, ham, feta and spinach works so well together!

You will be hard pressed to find a better coffee Perth-wide.. Big call- but one I stand by, unwaveringly. Ol mate Aaron’s barista skills are on point, exceptional flavour, perfect temp, served complete with smile every time. Combined with flavoursome culinary creations on offer and excellent service from a well oiled machine dream team.. do yourself a favour and start your day in the city with a cup of Black Honey love.. don’t let the (at times..) long queues put you off, they move through the docket stacks quickly & is well worth the 5 minutes.
