A great bakery! Very reliable boutique bread shop where you can find a number of tasty, doughy creations. The rolls are a favourite of mine, and before St Georges Terrace Woolworths and Raine Square Coles became uncompetitive to the point they stopped selling non-inhouse burger patties, I used to pick up a 6-pack here on almost a daily basis. The rolls are quite compact, but they make up for it in taste. These bad boys last two to three days before going off which is streets ahead of supermarket rolls which go off by about 6-7 PM the day of sale. They are softer, lighter, glazed on top, and are a completely different roll to taste. I'm convinced they stole the recipe from Snow White. Only one drawback, you need to take care not to rip these apart with your hands as they meld if you are too rough and then how will you butter it?
I can't fault the customer service, which is also very good. They are very polite and customer focused, EVERY single time I buy something. On one occasion they ran all the way to the intersection on Hay and Barrack to give a customer something they left in store. They are also reliable in what they serve; they do not stop selling a particular item, if you bought it today then you can find it again tomorrow. Their chocolate custard no-hole doughnuts are a sin... such velvety, rich, smoothiness that explode in your mouth like so much Kinder egg surprise gooey-ness seeping out of the afore-mentioned goo. If you're into chocolate.
Haven't had the occasion yet to buy their cakes in the counter. They aren't cheap but look decidedly top tier. Keep up...
Read moresucks! I visited a cake shop in Perth, and my experience was highly disappointing. In the morning, I inquired if their cakes were made with fresh cream. The staff's response was vague and unclear, which I found strange. Although the morning staff was polite and mentioned checking with the owner, the afternoon shift was a different story. I encountered a new staff member (I'm not sure if they were new to the job), whose attitude was extremely rude and off-putting. When I asked again about the fresh cream, the response was, 'We can't say; it's a secret.' This was followed by a shocking comment, 'If you want fresh cream, go make it at home yourself.' Such a disrespectful and appalling service attitude has led me to blacklist this shop permanently. I caution everyone against patronizing this establishment unless you prefer being insulted and demeaned. They even implied that the type of cream used is a secret only known to the kitchen staff, further adding to my disappointment. This was my first encounter with such a negative experience in all my years...
Read moreWe ordered a Teddy Bear Cookie & Cream Cake from Just For You Bakery on Hay Street for my mum’s birthday — and it was nothing short of magical.
From the moment we picked it up, we could tell this wasn’t just a cake — it was a work of art. The detailing on the teddy bear was absolutely beautiful, and the flavour? A perfect balance of rich cookies & cream with a texture that melted in your mouth.
What really stood out was the presentation and care that went into the cake — it genuinely felt tailor-made and premium. You can tell they put love and craftsmanship into every detail.
My mum was genuinely emotional when she saw the cake — it made a special day unforgettable. Massive thanks to the team for helping us celebrate such a big milestone with something so unique.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a custom cake that’s equal parts stunning...
