UPDATE OF MY OLD REVIEW: I go there a lot but slowly the constant paying after every round of beer annoys me (and a few other of my afterwork-drink-mates). It has often happened that we simply left earlier than planned. Paying after each round and then giving tips is just annoying. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against tipping but for every round 5€ is kind of too much if you have a lot of rounds. AND: "payment methods - cash preferred we accept creditcards with a minimum purchase of 15 euros" is just a joke if you have just one or two beers. Welcome to 2021 ;-D Old review from 2 or 3 years ago: Irish Pub right in the heart of Vienna close to the Burgtheater and Ring Street. Staff speaks English. The food and drinks are like you would expect it from a pub. Never had a bad experience there and would recommend it for a quick pint or burger. There is also a weekly pub quiz and sports shown on TVs.

Good local bar Bad: stuff doesn’t care how long you were there, you need to take your own beer from inside. They don’t visit tables. Feels like they doesn’t care. Good: menu is extensive. Location is very good. Atmosphere is worth to be there. If you can manage, stuff to serve for you. You can face some service difficulties except Friday and Saturday. Not cheep. Expect at least min. 20 euros if you are there just for drinks and more if you want to have drinks and meal. This bar wants you pay with cash. Thats why they ask you to pay every single order immediately.

I'm sorry to leave this review because the staff are really nice. But the way they pour guiness is a disgrace to the entire industry. The woman behind the tap is pouring ten guiness a minute without letting it settle at all, sometimes pouring from one glass into the other which is making my stomach turn. The vibes are good and maybe the other beer is fine but if you're looking for a good guiness, keep looking

Seldomly experienced poorer service than here. Nice atmosphere and adequate selection of beverages for fair prices. The reason for the poor rating is the male blonde waiter (head waiter?) serving us the beverages. The moment he served the beverages he announced the price and expected payment, something that might be the norm somewhere else but definitely not in Vienna! When asking if we can pay while leaving he interrupted me in the middle of the sentence announcing the price again. We, later on, asked the same waiter, as we observed other tables who were able to pay when leaving, which is the norm in Vienna, why we weren't able to do so for two beers. He explained that we would need to place a card with the establishment to be able to do so, turned around while I started to ask why this would apparently be the case for only us and left with "Cheers Guys" while walking away, not facing us!

Overall one of, if not the worst experience I've had with a waiter while living in Vienna for over 25 years. The restaurant itself is very nice and the atmosphere is definitely one of the best when it comes to pubs in Vienna but the customer service is just outstandingly horrible (The waitress taking our order was very...

So it was my second time in this pub. I hoped that after few years it will be as nice as it was than. It wasn’t. There was no information before, that you can pay by card from 15 (sic!) €. First of all it’s illegal acording to EU law, don’t let a client pay by card when he wishes. For me it looks like a pub wants to get as much money as it’s possible. And guess what. You have to pay immediately when they brought you your order. So, if you don’t have cash, and you want to spend nice evening with beer, you need to pay every time more than 15€ or order right away 3 big beers 😂 Second of all- transparency. I didn’t receive a bill. I asked a waitress to at least show me it. She did show me, but for less than second. From this point she was veeeery unpleasant. I’m more than sure, that we paid more (I didn’t want to pay a tip for such bad service). I also didn’t get card confirmation. Also illegal.

Beer was good, nachos, which I was forced to ored also good. And I wannt to admit that only two waiterss made bad impression. There was also a waiter who was very kind and helpful.

Saddly I won’t come back here next time. And I suggest you to pay attention and keep an...

I do not leave reviews often, but Molly Darcy’s Irish Pub was such a disappointment! The location is perfect and I used to go there quite often in the past with my work colleagues and friends.

It is always the same story - EXTREMELY rude waiters (shocking even for Viennese standards!), who not only demand you to pay for drinks/food after every round, but also directly ask you for a tip every single time.

I am all for tipping the waiters but it should be voluntary as not everyone can afford tipping all the time. Moreover, asking (basically demanding!) for the tip in an arrogant way is just intolerable.

The waiters were also making fun of our friend who tipped 1€ for a drink that was around 4€ (apparently it was too little) and who have previously that night tipped around 5€, despite the rudeness of both waiters. This is just ridiculous!

One goes to Irish Pub to relax and have a good time with friends, but this is simply not possible at Molly Darcy’s.What a pity - the place itself is nice and the drinks are...
