I had the unfortunate experience of not even stepping foot in this bar but I was staying in an air BNB in the same complex and at 3 am I heard a woman crying hysterically outside in the shared parking lot area at the back of the bar. I went outside where I witnessed a very distressed woman on the ground hysterically crying while two men had their phones out filming her. I asked if she was okay and if she needed help to which she didn't respond and one of the men said she was just drunk... A tenant of another apartment in this complex even came out to see what the commotion was about which for some reason at this point hadn't caught the attention of the security guards inside even though I'm quite sure they could hear because we certainly could even with our windows closed. I then told my boyfriend to keep an eye on the scene while I went to the bar to inform security and another lady heard me explain what was going on and came with me to check on this woman while another patron alerted security. One of the men got into a vehicle and drove away obviously drunk while the hysterical woman remained with the other man.2 security guards finally opened the back door and I explained the situation while the other lady that had come with me to assist was trying to figure out what was going on with the woman who was still crying. The man explained that she was just drunk while myself and the other lady expressed that it looked very concerning and suggested to the security to either intervene or call the police to which she was told to call the police because it's not their problem. Actually legally the establishment that over served this woman and was informed of a legitimate safety concern is actually liable and responsible to ensure that this woman was able to get home safely. As someone who has worked in the industry for 20 years I was absolutely shocked and disgusted by this because it is the law number one not to over serve, number 2 that any patron who has been over served or is in obvious distress is the legal responsibility of that establishment until that patron becomes sober. Anyone who has a security license or smart serve (which is a legal requirement to serve alcohol) knows this. So when the security said it wasn't their problem and walked away leaving an obviously intoxicated and distressed woman who had previously been drinking in that establishment with a man who witnesses even alerted them of a safety concern, they were in fact liable and responsible for her safety. I can't actually believe that they said that and left it up to strangers to help an obviously intoxicated and hysterical woman. Never in all my years even working in the worst dive bars is this ever legal or acceptable. Not to mention that it was clearly disturbing tenants and occupants in the surrounding units. Shame on those security guards. I will never go to this place having witnessed such gross negligence and straight up illegal lack of responsibility. Not a safe space they should be shut...
Read moreThis is my husband and I's go to place. It's where we met 10yrs ago and stop in for lunch often with no issues. Our most recent trip we decided to bring our whole family for dinner. There were 5 of us and it was around 530pm on a weekday. While I understand this is a bar, most times I've attended during the day the music has been a decent level. This time there was loud techno music playing to the point we could barely talk to eachother as if we were in a club. There was only 1 other table at the time. Waitress took our order and drinks and food arrived pretty quick, they were served by someone else other than our waitress.. However, we never received utensils or condiments. We had to find someone and ask for all that stuff. Nobody came to offer refills the entire time. Again, we asked the bar who said they would send the server over. They never came. Now we are done eating and it's the first time we see our server again and she cleared our plates and left. She never asked if we wanted anything else and still never refilled the drinks. We sat at the table for 20 minutes, no plates or anything infront of us waiting to see her to ask for the bill. When we found her she was like "oh , you want the bill?" As if it was a surpirse...Umm yeah we have kids and we haven't had food or drinks for 20 min we wanna leave....another 15 minutes goes by. Still no bill. So we all get up and start to walk towards the door leaving my husband at the table waiting to pay. It wasn't until she saw my family walking out that she ran up to us asking us to pay. Wich I pointed back to my pissed off husband still sitting in the booth. She didn't deserve a tip because she didn't provide us any service. The experience was similar to that of fast food as we constantly had to get up and find forks, straws, napkins and ketchup etc
Furthermore, the one other table ordered a pizza half pepperoni and half pepperoni and pineapple. When it arrived, the whole pizza was pineapple. They said this is not what they ordered and the same waitress said "oh I thought you wanted pineapple on the whole thing" She never offered to make the order correct, she never offered a replacement or a discount. Infact, she turned around from them with a dirty look on her face as if she didn't care..I could hear the men talking about how disappointing it was. Steak subs...
Read moreRecommend by the locals for a kitchen that was open late! Walked far as ever from Clifton hill to here, kitchen closed at 1 am on a Tuesday night. Got some bar bites (taco, garlic cheese pizza and mushroom bites). All was good. Cool chill atmosphere. Made some great conversations with friendly locals. The red amber ale on tap was BANGIN! Iâm from USA Pennsylvania so Iâm a Yuenling guy and it was even better. Plus frosted mugs! Canât be beat! Unfortunately the brunette bartender girl wasnât too friendly and easy going. Kinda had an attitude toward me and my girlfriend. First off she was rude to say that âwe donât do samplesâ of drafts. lol so youâre gonna pay $10 for a pint draft and not get a sample of it first!? Thatâs crazy. Bad choice of management. Samples come standard with craft drafts everywhere in the country lol. The other blonde female with glasses was actually super nice and friendly and was providing excellent service. Filled our waters before we left and was pleasant. Overall a nice bar with pool tables and some louder locals but we enjoyed it. If youâre a bartender, pls try to be pleasant and make ppl feel comfortable...
