For a restaurant, they say, "it is all about the location". And Ruby Tuesday , wins this one, hands down. Located in this strategic corner of Clifton Hills, at the beginning of the Falls area, one cannot miss the restaurant. Pre covid, this part of the street was always densely packed. But not so much today as the crowds are still not sure about venturing out these strange times. Our group decided to have dinner here. The restaurant diligently implemented all the prescribed protocols before letting us in. Ruby has always been a very pricey place. Being in a high traffic tourist location allows them the liberty of being one. But, we noticed, the prices had gone up even further as compared to pre Covid. One could not probably fault them foe this given the turbulence restaurants have gone through. The service was excellent. The food great in quality and taste. The menu well composed. If there was any shortcoming it was the portion size. It clearly seemed much smaller than before and many, in our group, left not having been satiated. In fact they had to go home and have another bite. For visitors at the Niagara Falls region, this is a very recommended place. Foe the management of this restaurant, please do something about the portion size. Let your customers not go back unsatisfied.

I visited the Niagara Falls area in Late August/Early September 2022. We visited this Ruby Tuesday after having a stressful arrival. We visited the area rather late; it may have been after 10:00 pm. We decided rooftop seating to take in the view but it was rather chilly. We decided to move closer inwards and it was a bit better. Our waiter was really friendly I don’t remember his name. Once our drinks came and we tasted them I came to the realization we were no longer in the US. Our drinks had natural taste to it which was different but it was good. The food on the other hand wasn’t good we didn’t even finish it. No one finished or liked their food. We were tired and wanted some sleep so we immediately requested the check. The only reason why we took it to go is because we passed some homeless people and decided to give it to them instead of wasting it. The prices here is really expensive, it seemed like each entrée started at $30.00. Our bill was over $100 for the 3 of us. I’m not sure if I would return to the restaurant due to the prices and the food not being good. But this location is a beautiful view of Clifton Hills. I gave 2 starts because the staff was very polite and friendly.

The food was absolutely atrocious. We were the only ones in the restaurant, and that should have been a sign. We went in without checking the reviews, and that was a huge mistake. The place had restaurant prices while the food tasted like someone bought produce from non parishables 500 years ago, and was doing an awful job heating and cooking them now. The gravy was extremely salty and grainy, not warm at all - not a single cheese curd was melted. The avocado chicken burger had a dry piece of chicken and veggies that barely tasted fresh and were suspiciously flavorless. The pasta was probably by far the most awful thing I have had in a while. You might be wondering how does someone mess up pasta - and well I don't know. However, it tasted like plastic water and not a wheat/carb product. The only thing acceptable about the place was the sweet and professional waitress.

We decided on Ruby Tuesdays in Niagra Falls for our team dinner. We were greeted and seated fairly promptly and were notified it would be at least a 45min wait to receive our food order because of the size of our group (12) and being Saturday night. We totally understood and accepted the servers terms.

  1. It took 30 mins to get a sprite
  2. our server nor anyone else came to check on us.. not even once throughout the entire stay. No refills, no "how are the first few bites", no follow up after food was delivered onto the table...nothing.
  3. pasta was bland
  4. rack of ribs came out piping hot on the outside and still cold inside.

No one came to check on us...so on a side note would it be up to patrons to walk around both floors in search of our server on a Saturday night to ask for some refills and some water and some sauce and a couple of adult beverages to compliment our meals? 5) time to pay the bill...nobody came...so my wife had to find and approach our server to ask for the bills...well...she was with other staff members out of sight from our table and how she responded was shockingly terrible and unprofessional. She was rude, took offense to us being unhappy with their service on a Saturday night in Niagra Falls and it is not like my wife approached her with guns blazing.

In anycase, the reasoning we were told was explained to us as follows: "We have 2 floors" "We're busy" ...on a Saturday night in Niagra Falls during the summer I feel it is always busy and the hospitality business' should expect it and staff accordingly.. so if you're complaining it's busy it kinda sounds like a management issue and a lack of staffing that needs to be addressed internally.

So to that server at Ruby Tuesdays that didn't bother to do her job... I say do better and stop making excuses. You suck!!

1 star rating but really that's being too generous because that is the minimum allowable option and realistically should be in the...

We were all hungry, as we had just arrived at Niagara Falls. We looked around, before spotting Ruby Tuesday. We walked inside, before we were taken to a table. The waiter asked for our drinks, which then quickly arrived. My dad looked at his beer glass, before noticing how dirty it was. He wiped it twice and there was a stain on his finger. I ordered a coke, which was flat. I would’ve rather just drank water. But meanwhile, the food? At least fifteen minutes. Once the food arrived, I looked at my plate, which was the Crispy Macaroni and Cheese. I knew exactly what it was. It was those cheap, microwaveable Macaroni and Cheese! My mom used to make them for me all the time, so I knew what it was. Meanwhile, I looked at the chicken. For a thirty dollar meal, the piece of chicken wasn’t even real. It was just batter. Me and the rest of the family were almost struggling to find one decent part of each others meals. The chicken wings that my dad ordered were dried wings with cajun seasoning that never came. My sister ordered the bacon cheese pretzel burger, which came with poutine that we paid extra for. The fries were stale and the gravy was clumpy. The burger on the other hand came with a cold and stale pretzel bun. The lettuce wasn’t fresh, and it was also dry. After this visit, the bill was over $100, even though none of us really had any good food. But we eventually paid anyway, and left. About an hour after I left, my stomach started to hurting and I felt like vomiting. The only thing that I had ate until that point was the Macaroni I had ate at Ruby Tuesday. I think that it was the chicken, because my sister also ate a bit of my macaroni and she was fine. Only I ate the chicken. My stomach was aching for a while, and after this whole, awful experience, I’ll never come back, and I strongly wouldn’t recommend this to...

Would not go back. We arrived around 8:30ish. The server was really nice but the experience was just disappointing. I order my steak and asked for gravy, my Fiancée ordered thr ribs and wings. No gravy with the meal..no big deal but my Fiancée meal comes out with ribs and chicken fingers not the wings. Got the first round of drinks but then nothing after that. We were seated by the bar where the staff eats there meals and does there after shift duties. We felt completely forgotten about. Managers didn't come around instead stayed at the host stand or at a table beside where we sitting.. the server finally came by and we told her my Fiancée meal was wrong at this time she asked if I wanted another drink I said yes. She disappeared into the kitchen and when she finally came back out she admitted that she put the wrong meal in and was getting it fixed. No drink though. Looking around No other server came by to see how we were doing despite us looking around and no staff looked approachable including management...they all could not wait to leave. She took the gravy off the bill which was great. We got dessert and that took another 20 minutes just to get. Dessert should never take that long. When she finally came by to see if we had gotten the desset she couldn't believe we hadn't. That was taken off the bill. Honestly save yourself the Hassel and go to any other restaurants cause we went there thinking we had enough time to eat and then watch the fireworks but nope missed those due to the long wait for food or the server. She had a section on the other side so we didn't see her. I've worked in restaurants and have never seen where it comes down to that's her table so I won't go near it. It should be a team. The server was great and she tried. But just a hit and a...
