We decided on Ruby Tuesdays in Niagra Falls for our team dinner. We were greeted and seated fairly promptly and were notified it would be at least a 45min wait to receive our food order because of the size of our group (12) and being Saturday night. We totally understood and accepted the servers terms.
No one came to check on us...so on a side note would it be up to patrons to walk around both floors in search of our server on a Saturday night to ask for some refills and some water and some sauce and a couple of adult beverages to compliment our meals? 5) time to pay the bill...nobody came...so my wife had to find and approach our server to ask for the bills...well...she was with other staff members out of sight from our table and how she responded was shockingly terrible and unprofessional. She was rude, took offense to us being unhappy with their service on a Saturday night in Niagra Falls and it is not like my wife approached her with guns blazing.
In anycase, the reasoning we were told was explained to us as follows: "We have 2 floors" "We're busy" ...on a Saturday night in Niagra Falls during the summer I feel it is always busy and the hospitality business' should expect it and staff accordingly.. so if you're complaining it's busy it kinda sounds like a management issue and a lack of staffing that needs to be addressed internally.
So to that server at Ruby Tuesdays that didn't bother to do her job... I say do better and stop making excuses. You suck!!
1 star rating but really that's being too generous because that is the minimum allowable option and realistically should be in the...
Read moreWe were all hungry, as we had just arrived at Niagara Falls. We looked around, before spotting Ruby Tuesday. We walked inside, before we were taken to a table. The waiter asked for our drinks, which then quickly arrived. My dad looked at his beer glass, before noticing how dirty it was. He wiped it twice and there was a stain on his finger. I ordered a coke, which was flat. I would’ve rather just drank water. But meanwhile, the food? At least fifteen minutes. Once the food arrived, I looked at my plate, which was the Crispy Macaroni and Cheese. I knew exactly what it was. It was those cheap, microwaveable Macaroni and Cheese! My mom used to make them for me all the time, so I knew what it was. Meanwhile, I looked at the chicken. For a thirty dollar meal, the piece of chicken wasn’t even real. It was just batter. Me and the rest of the family were almost struggling to find one decent part of each others meals. The chicken wings that my dad ordered were dried wings with cajun seasoning that never came. My sister ordered the bacon cheese pretzel burger, which came with poutine that we paid extra for. The fries were stale and the gravy was clumpy. The burger on the other hand came with a cold and stale pretzel bun. The lettuce wasn’t fresh, and it was also dry. After this visit, the bill was over $100, even though none of us really had any good food. But we eventually paid anyway, and left. About an hour after I left, my stomach started to hurting and I felt like vomiting. The only thing that I had ate until that point was the Macaroni I had ate at Ruby Tuesday. I think that it was the chicken, because my sister also ate a bit of my macaroni and she was fine. Only I ate the chicken. My stomach was aching for a while, and after this whole, awful experience, I’ll never come back, and I strongly wouldn’t recommend this to...
Read moreWould not go back. We arrived around 8:30ish. The server was really nice but the experience was just disappointing. I order my steak and asked for gravy, my Fiancée ordered thr ribs and wings. No gravy with the meal..no big deal but my Fiancée meal comes out with ribs and chicken fingers not the wings. Got the first round of drinks but then nothing after that. We were seated by the bar where the staff eats there meals and does there after shift duties. We felt completely forgotten about. Managers didn't come around instead stayed at the host stand or at a table beside where we sitting.. the server finally came by and we told her my Fiancée meal was wrong at this time she asked if I wanted another drink I said yes. She disappeared into the kitchen and when she finally came back out she admitted that she put the wrong meal in and was getting it fixed. No drink though. Looking around No other server came by to see how we were doing despite us looking around and no staff looked approachable including management...they all could not wait to leave. She took the gravy off the bill which was great. We got dessert and that took another 20 minutes just to get. Dessert should never take that long. When she finally came by to see if we had gotten the desset she couldn't believe we hadn't. That was taken off the bill. Honestly save yourself the Hassel and go to any other restaurants cause we went there thinking we had enough time to eat and then watch the fireworks but nope missed those due to the long wait for food or the server. She had a section on the other side so we didn't see her. I've worked in restaurants and have never seen where it comes down to that's her table so I won't go near it. It should be a team. The server was great and she tried. But just a hit and a...
