On Saturday May 30th, 2020 my partner and I checked into the Embassy Suites for one night. Upon check-in we were given a coupon for $30.00 off of a meal at TGI Friday's in the lobby of the hotel. At 7:02pm, I called from our room and placed an order for pickup. With the discount of $30.00, our total was calculated at approximately $30.00. I was told the order would be ready in approximately 20 minutes. At around 7:25pm, my partner and I headed to the restaurant to pickup our order, however, there was a lineup and we waited almost 20 minutes for our order. Upon cashing out, the gentleman working handed me the debit machine without a copy of my receipt and the total on the machine was $51.92. Realizing that the total was almost $10 more than it was said to be, I questioned the gentleman as to whether or not that is the correct total. He responded yes - no other explanation. My partner and I wondered if the pricing on their website was incorrect, however, there was a paper menu right beside the machine and it was exactly the same as I previously saw online. We tipped 10% on the takeout and then requested a copy of our bill/receipt. The gentleman stated that he threw it out, when in fact, we saw him place it with the other receipts. He hesitantly reprinted the receipt and handed it to me face down. My partner and I headed back to the room while looking at the receipt. When we got back to our room, we saw that there was a charge of 17% for a tip which is why our total was so high. We were furious because not only is there no sign posted anywhere, they don't have their policy in writing, the gentleman is not providing a copy of the receipt, and when he was questioned as to why our total was so high, we STILL were not told there was a 17% tip charged for takeout in order for him to receive an additional tip without our acknowledgement. Not only were we scammed out of pocket 17%, but because of the kind of people we are, we willingly tipped 10%. During such unprecedented times of the pandemic, this was very deceiving. 17% of our money was taken without our consent or knowledge, nor does the restaurant have it posted anywhere in writing. If they are not telling customers about the 17% charge and customers are leaving an additional tip, can you imagine how much money the restaurant is scamming per shift and these employees are taking home every night?! On a single receipt they were tipped almost 30% on take-out, 17% of which was not consented. My partner and I went back down to the restaurant and confronted the employee. I stated "You don't have signs anywhere, nor did you notify us of the charge, and you know exactly what you did and why you did it. He nodded his head yes and his face turned red. We were given our "tip" back by the hotel manager, but I felt as though this was not enough for being deceived. We felt robbed! Not only is it immoral, but unethical. I immediately emailed the manager - Robyn, and requested she give me a call. Robyn immediately called me and apologized profusely, requesting that we meet her the following day to resolve the issue in hopes that "we can resolve the matter without escalation or without you feeling the need to go public with this". Robyn assured me that they charge 17% tip on take-out, but the employees are suppose to be providing a receipt, or at least notifying customers of this charge. I told Robyn that her employee had the opportunity to notify us of this charge when I initially questioned the total on the machine, but he did not in hopes of scamming an additional tip for his pocket. After a 10 minute phone call with Robyn and running back downstairs to confront the employee and hotel manager, our food was cold and tasted terrible. We did not eat either meals and ended up ordering through Skip the Dishes. The next day when we went to meet Robyn, she accused us of lying about the consumption of our meals, she was rude, and very unprofessional. She had a different attitude than she did on the phone. How can a restaurant and employees treat customers this way, especially...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at TGI Fridays Niagara, and I must say, it was an overall delightful experience! From the scrumptious food to the impeccable service, my visit left a lasting impression. While the atmosphere didn't quite match up to the vibrant ambiance found in city locations, the exceptional quality of everything else made up for it.
First and foremost, the food at TGI Fridays Niagara was outstanding. Each dish I tried was bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. The menu offered a wide range of options, from classic favorites to unique creations, ensuring there was something to satisfy every craving. The portion sizes were generous, leaving me happily satiated but still able to indulge in a delectable dessert.
The service at TGI Fridays Niagara was top-notch. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful suggestions and catering to specific dietary preferences. Throughout my meal, my server was consistently attentive, promptly refilling drinks and checking if everything was to my liking. The service truly elevated the overall experience and left me feeling well taken care of.
Now, onto the atmosphere. While it didn't quite capture the urban vibe found in standalone TGI Fridays locations, it still provided a comfortable and relaxed setting. The décor was pleasant, but it lacked that energetic buzz that some city-based branches exude. Nevertheless, the subdued ambiance allowed for easy conversation and a more laid-back dining experience, which some patrons may prefer. It's worth noting that despite the ambiance not being as vibrant, the quality of the food and service made up for any minor shortcomings in this area.
Overall, my visit to TGI Fridays Niagara was a memorable one. The delicious food, impeccable service, and comfortable atmosphere combined to create a fantastic dining experience. While it may not have had the same urban charm as some standalone locations, the exceptional quality in every other aspect more than compensated. I highly recommend visiting TGI Fridays Niagara for a satisfying meal that will leave you craving to come...
Read moreDisappointed!! Food wasn’t the greatest and my husband and my self are huge FRIDAYS Fans. Not only were we placed by the door during this weather, every time guest from the bar went out to have a smoke a gust of wind would hit our table making our food cold.
The waiter was great, he was friendly. But I didn’t come to Fridays just for a waiter I came for the food. The PRICES are high compared to other Fridays. And the Quality Of the food is terrible. Our 4 loaded potatoe skins weren’t “loaded” literally looked like they took the smallest potatoe they had and cut into fours. Hardly any cheese on it or bacon. DRY. Compared to others locations near by I was blow away. We always order the loaded skins and the display and quality of them was not worth the money. “Plus they were super dry and hard.” Let me also say the Seseme strips where gross. We are also HUGE fans of this app. They looked like literally shearded chicken breast fired. Hardly toss in sauce very dry also, and keep in mind I’m comparing to other locations we have been to near by. I paid $23.00 for this dish. An APP! That was gross and we didn’t even finish it. When I question why it was so expensive I was told the location is privately owned and operated, meaning .... The Quality Of food and prices May very. “ MAY VERY” huge difference. We paid $103.75 for two apps , a plain cheese burger and chicken burger. I could have gone to THE KEG for this price and eaten a steak. I was blown away, because for that cost. At other locations my husband and my self always leave FULL and satisfied ( And also purchased way more food )
We literally purchased 4 items In which 2 of the four where GROSS and nothing like the Fridays we know and love.
We enjoy Fridays and never been disappointed till today. I will not be back at this location ever. And I don’t recommend it. For pricing to quality of food ratio. It’s not worth it.
Ps. Had nothing to Do with our waiter he was amazing. The food was just not to par , and pricing is not worth it. GO to...
