I have been coming here with my family for well over a year. I originally thought this place was 5-star but not anymore. After today, I feel that they are being dishonest and trying to upcharge and for that, you've lost my business. One of the reasons I enjoyed this place is because of the fresh, homemade Saj wrap they used to make. The last time I came, they said their oven was broken and they were getting a new one so they gave me another type of Saj wrap, probably store bought. Today, I came in with my daughters and ordered 2 small sirloin Saj wraps and one small chicken shawarma Saj wrap. I paid and it wasn't cheap either. When the guy started to make the wraps he took out three store bought pita breads. I asked him why he was using those because I ordered the Saj wraps. He then points to the Saj wrap on the other side and says "next time you need pay for large Saj wrap then." I told him that I paid for the small Saj wrap as that is what is advertised on their menu. How rude and what a way to treat a paying customer. So now you want me to pay more money for a large wrap if I want Saj wrap even though you advertise small Saj wrap for people to buy? You guys are using store bought pita bread even though you advertise Saj wrap. This is LYING to customers about what they are getting. I told them that it is not advertised that they will use pita bread for small wraps and the guy just smiled at me because he knows that I know that they are just trying to get more money out of me. You have lost my business. Be honest with customers and stop trying to get them to pay you more money. You have become dishonest and very greedy which is a great way to lose loyal customers. I thought they were honest people but I guess I was wrong. ...
Read moreRude, ill-mannered, and arrogant staff.Worst customer service experience of my life. I went to get dinner, waited in the line for 10 mins to order and since I wasnt sure that what comes with Mix Kabab as a side so I asked this question to one of the staff ,and he was very rude didnt give me any answer and started taking order from person behind me in line. I told him that it's my turn and then another staff intervened and asked him to give me details and take my order. He rudely gave me that details and I ended up ordering Mix Kabab and Mix Shawarma with fries as a side. I waited for 30mins for the order to get ready and while the same guy was giving it to me, I asked him if the sides(fries) are inside the pack. He rudely said yes. It took me 20min to get home, and when I opened the pack there were no sides. I kept on calling the number they have on google map, but no one answered. I went back to the restaurant and told them that the pack is missing sides and now the food is cooled, and instead of being apologetic, the same guy told rudely told me that i have to wait another 10 mins if i need the sides and there is no problem eating cold food. I asked him either he makes me fresh food with sides or give my money back, and he started shouting and screaming at me as if they gave me the food for free. By chance, there was a police officer waiting for his order as well who intervened to cool off the situation and I got my money back. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who has any...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of dining at Reetaj Middle Eastern Restaurant today with my two daughters and a good old Ahgani friend who wanted to treat us to some good old Middle Eastern food, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish!
We ordered both the chicken and beef shawarmas, and the food was a delight to our taste buds. The shawarma was tender, juicy, and perfectly spiced, wrapped in soft, fresh saj bread. The rich flavors of the Middle Eastern spices were evident in every bite, and the accompanying garlic sauce was a perfect complement.
The portions were extremely generous, and the prices were very reasonable considering the high quality and authenticity of the dishes. The restaurant's atmosphere felt warm and inviting, giving off a true Middle Eastern vibe that made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
What stood out the most was the authentic service. The staff were genuinely friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. They went the extra mile to ensure our experience was top-notch, answering any questions we had about the menu and making excellent recommendations.
Overall, Reetaj provided us with a memorable dining experience. Whether you're craving chicken or beef shawarma, or just want to experience some of the best Middle Eastern food in Oshawa, I highly recommend Reetaj. It’s a gem for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, and we’ll definitely be...
